Niagara Falls police detectives are investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting incident that wounded a man on 13th Street.
The shooting incident took place about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 1100 block of 13th Street.
Niagara Falls police were called to the area for multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area. While searching for a shooting scene, officers were given a more specific address on 13th Street and found the shooting victim. He had been shot in the leg and is expected to recover.
Criminal Investigation and Crime Scene detectives have begun an investigation of the incident. A K-9 was requested as well to assist with the investigation and a search of the area. K-9 Units from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Park Police responded to the scene.
