A 17-year-old male was shot multiple times Sunday evening in Danville, and a 44-year-old man is being sought in connection with the shooting.
A warrant has been issued for Kevin Flight and Danville police are searching for the man.
Police began investigating the incident when officers responded to the emergency department of OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville on Sunday evening for a subject who had been shot multiple times. The juvenile victim was transferred to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
During the investigation, police said they learned the victim was shot in the 900 block of West Fairchild Street and taken to the hospital. The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued by the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office for Flight.
The warrant charges Flight will aggravated battery with a firearm due to the incident.
Flight is described as a Black male, 6-feet to 6-feet-3 inches tall and approximately 210 pounds. Flight is considered armed and dangerous.
