ST. PETER — A man will serve probation in lieu of jail time related to a road rage incident on Highway 14 in 2022.
Andrew Wallace Juberien, 33, was recently convicted on a threats of violence charge, deemed a gross misdemeanor, in Nicollet County District Court.
Motorists accused Juberien of brandishing a firearm while driving near them on the highway between Nicollet and Courtland in December 2022, according to a criminal complaint.
Juberien denied pointing the gun at anyone and said he did a “brake check” followed by another motorist cutting him off and making an obscene hand gesture toward him.
Juberien’s 364-day jail sentence is stayed for two years while he serves probation, according to court records. His conditions for probation include no firearm usage or possession, no contact with the victim or victims, and 10 days of community service.
He will also pay a $1,000 fine as ordered by the court.
