MANKATO — A man was sentenced to prison Tuesday after authorities found methamphetamine concealed in a package of sweetener at his residence in 2023.
Robb Douglas Lund, 44, formerly of Mankato, was convicted on a first-degree drug possession charge in Blue Earth County District Court. A drug sales charge against him was dismissed.
The Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force reported finding the meth on Aug. 19 last year. The sweetener package had a broken seal and was alongside packaged candy, while a cooler in the bedroom also had drugs in it.
In all the meth weighed about 1,304 grams, or 2.87 pounds, according to a criminal complaint.
A sentencing order states Lund’s sentence will last five years and four months. He’s likely to serve about two-thirds of the sentence in prison, minus 71 days credited to him for time served.
