CUMBERLAND — A Rockville man was arrested on numerous charges Saturday, including assault on police, following a disturbance at a Virginia Avenue business, Cumberland Police said.
Michael Jentry Lee, 34, was charged with second-degree assault on law enforcement, failure to appear, two counts of controlled dangerous substance possession, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and fraud/false name to avoid prosecution, police said.
When officers approached Lee in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue about 7:40 p.m., he reportedly gave them a false name and attempted to leave the scene. A struggle ensued as he was placed under arrest, police said.
Lee was being held Sunday in the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing in district court.
