NEWBURYPORT — Award-winning Maine author Paul Doiron is visiting Jabberwocky Bookshop on Saturday at 5 p.m. to read and sign the newest entry in his Mike Bowditch series, “Storm Tide.”
In this installment, Bowditch investigates the death of a wealthy entrepreneur who was once accused of murdering his own illegitimate son. Miles away, on a lonely stretch of icy railroad track, another body is found.
Doiron, a native of Maine, attended Yale University, where he graduated with a degree in English.
“The Poacher’s Son,” the first book in the Mike Bowditch series, won the Barry Award, the Strand Award for best first novel, and has been nominated for the Edgar, Anthony and Macavity awards in the same category.
He is a registered Maine guide specializing in flyfishing and lives on a trout stream in coastal Maine with his wife, Kristen Lindquist.
Jabberwocky Bookshop is at The Tannery, 50 Water St., Newburyport.
