NEWBURYPORT — The Maudslay Arts Center (MAC) Summer Concert Series features something for every musical taste from big band to jazz, from funk to bluegrass, from country to the Great American Songbook.
The 32nd season is dedicated to Nicholas J. Costello, who died March 17 at his home in the comforting presence of his loving family.
“Maudslay Arts Center was a passion project for my dad,” said MAC Director Nicholas C. Costello. “MAC combined three loves – his devotion to his community, his love of the arts and commitment to preserving our natural resources.”
Costello went on to say that nothing made his late father happier than community members coming together to enjoy a concert in the natural beauty of Maudslay.
“The promotion of the arts in this unique and historical setting was one of the key components presented to the state in preserving the nearly 500 acres for public use,” Costello said.
