MOULTRIE — October brings a variety of local events for both kids and adults to enjoy.
The 100 Mile Peanut Pickin’ Yard Sale will be held Saturday, October 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the City of Moultrie Utilities Department Parking Lot, 2701 First Avenue SE (Across from Dairy Queen). Also on Saturday, October 12, the movie “Coco” will be shown in Downtown Moultrie, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and children under three are free. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on. This event is sponsored by the Moultrie Junior Woman’s Club.
Conrad Fisher will be in concert at the Arts Center of Moultrie, 401 Seventh Ave. S.W., Monday, October 14, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. There will be a cash bar. For more information, call (229) 985-1922.
The Moultrie Junior Woman’s Club and Chick-Fil-A Moultrie are sponsoring a Pumpkin Painting event, Tuesday, October 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. It will be hosted on the Chick-Fil-A patio.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority is having a Fall Friday Fun Day, October 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a day of play, crafts, STEM activities and more, for kindergarten through fifth grade. The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority is having a Halloween Costume Swap, October 19, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Southwest Memorial Pool, 1101 Fifth Street SW. There will also be a Floating Pumpkin Patch.
Lifespring Community Church, 2010 GA Hwy. 133 South, is having a Fall Festival October 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be hay rides, bouncy houses, games and food.
A Candlelight Vigil will be hosted by Serenity House, October 22, at 6 p.m., at Lily Pond Farms Event Center, 275 Dorminey Road. The annual event is held to remember those who lost their lives to domestic violence.
Bandwagon Brewing Co., 33 West Central Avenue, is hosting Pints for Polio, October 24, from 4 p.m. to close. All proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club’s “End Polio Now” campaign.
