Lockport High School is proud to present ‘Big Fish,’ a heartfelt and imaginative musical that invites audiences into a world where storytelling, love, and family take center stage. The show will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and will conclude with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, “Big Fish” tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman known for his extraordinary tales and larger-than-life personality. His stories have long fascinated those around him, especially his devoted wife, Sandra. As their son, Will, prepares to become a father himself, he begins searching for the truth behind the stories and tall tales that have defined his father’s life. What unfolds is a touching journey of understanding, connection, and discovering the meaning behind the memories we carry.
This vibrant production not only entertains but also highlights the powerful learning experiences and collaborative spirit fostered through the visual and performing arts. This year’s musical features an impressive 83 students working collaboratively as performers, musicians, stage technicians and puppeteers, demonstrating the depth and capacity of Lockport’s co-curricular arts programs. The performance reflects a comprehensive educational experience that extends far beyond the classroom.
“Big Fish” stars Brady Mazurek as Edward Bloom, Leah Siskey as Sandra Bloom, Philip Obot as Will Bloom, Josephine Millen as Josephine, and Kendrick Benson as Young Will. Together with a dedicated ensemble, crew, and orchestra, these students bring energy, creativity, and emotional depth to every moment on stage.
Community members are invited to attend and support these students as they bring this beloved story to life. Tickets are available now. Although admission is free, reserved seating is encouraged. Seats can be claimed at: tinyurl.com/bigfishlhs.
