Students from across Athens-Limestone had the opportunity to learn more about possible future professions from locals in their fields.
On Feb. 27, more than 100 high school juniors from across the county were able to participate in the Athens-Limestone Chamber’s Job Shadowing Day.
Participating students were able to shadow in industries ranging from florists and retail to education to journalism.
“I believe I learned a lot of valuable information regarding the industry itself,” said Briley Williams from Elkmont High School.
The chamber’s initiative saw great success across the county for the businesses and students involved.
“We extend our gratitude to all the businesses, and students who contributed to making this program a resounding success. This accomplishments reinforces our commitment to providing innovative and impactful educational experiences that prepare our students for future success in the workforce,” said Pammie Jimmar, president of the Athens-Limestone Chamber.
