KOKOMO, Ind. — For the first time in school history, the Seeger boys tennis team was able to win a regional title.
Thanks to mostly doubles play, the Patriots beat West Lafayette 3-2 in the regional championship on Wednesday. The doubles teams of Dylan Walters and Peyton Reynolds and Macyn Hughes and Garrett Cooksey won for Seeger, while Zachary Reynolds won in singles action.
The Patriots got to the finals by beating Western 3-2 on Tuesday. Christian Holland, Zachary Reynolds and the team of Walters and Peyton Reynolds won for Seeger.
The Patriots will go to semi-states on Saturday against the Culver Academies at noon eastern. If Seeger wins, it will go to the state quarterfinals starting on Oct. 13.
Fountain Central also saw action in a regional on Tuesday, losing 5-0 to Park Tudor at Lebanon.

Central 10, Danville 1
DANVILLE — The Vikings could not win on senior night on Tuesday with a loss to the Maroons.
Rylan Anderson scored the lone goal for Danville on a an assist by Adam Perez.
Isaiah Patton had 12 saves and Austin Brown had two saves in goal for the Vikings, who will travel to Normal Community today.
Hoopeston Area 7, BHRA 1
HOOPESTON — The Hoopeston Area boys soccer team made the most of its final home game on Tuesday, beating Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on Tuesday.
Talan Gredy-Nelson had two goals and three assists for the Cornjerkers, while Owen Root had two goals, Gavin Montez, Sean Hudson and Keygan Field each added a goal.
Evan Cole had a goal for the Blue Devils, who will play Oakwood/Salt Fork today.
The Cornjerkers are 16-5 overall and 8-3 in the Vermilion Valley Conference and will play Iroquois West today to finish the regular season.

GEORGETOWN — Luke Barney had three goals as the Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville soccer team beat Iroquois West 7-0 on Tuesday.
Wes Curry had two goals for the Buffaloes, while Easton Barney and Simonas Ankstatis each had a goal and Nathan Blue had three assists.
Matthew Darling had a shutout in goal for the Buffaloes, who will play Watseka today.

FISHER — The Oakwood/Salt Fork boys soccer team fell 4-1 to Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley on Tuesday in non-conference action.
Ethan Merritt had the lone goal for the Comets while Jakob Rupp had three saves in goal.

BHRA 2, Hoopeston 1
BISMARCK — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin volleyball team was able to hold off Hoopeston Area in a 19-25, 25-14, 25-8 win on Tuesday.
Kaitlynn Lange had seven kills and Viv Walsh had two blocks for the Cornjerkers, who were coming off a 2-0 loss to Milford on Monday and will play Iroquois West on Thursday.
The Blue Devils were coming off a 3-0 win over Seeger on Monday and will play Chrisman on Thursday.
Westville 2, Watseka 0
WESTVILLE — The Westville volleyball team held off Watseka 25-20, 25-23 in Vermilion Valley Conference action on Tuesday.
Ella Miller had eight kills, seven digs and two blocks for the Tigers, while Maddie Appl had three kills, five blocks and four digs, Lainey Wichtowski had 16 assists, nine digs and three kills, Maddy Doggett had five kills and two aces and Aubrie Jenkins had eight digs.
The Tigers will play Oakwood today.

GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown-Ridge Farm volleyball team got past Chrisman 26-24, 15-25, 25-19 on Thursday.
Kendall Roberts had 14 kills and 12 digs for the Buffaloes, while Sierra Cunningham had seven kills, Milee Ellis had six kills, three blocks and six digs and Rubyrae Fraser-Soule had 26 assists.
Covington wins WRC title
COVINGTON, Ind. — The Covington volleyball team won the Wabash River Conference title on Monday with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-11 win over Riverton Parke.
Maddix Minick had 15 kills and six blocks for the Trojans, while Alex Sutherlin had 14 kills and 15 digs, Brooke Rottman had five kills and 15 digs, Peyton Brown had 38 assists and five aces and Lilly Hacquet had 14 digs.
On Tuesday, the Trojans lost 25-19, 25-23, 25-16 to Terre Haute South.
Minick had eight kills for the Trojans, while Sutherlin had five kills, 18 digs and six aces, Ashlyn Alexander had five kills and 11 digs and Brown had 21 assists.
The Trojans are 21-9 and will host Crawfordsville on Thursday.
Southmont 3, Seeger 0
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Seeger volleyball team lost 26-24, 25-20, 26-24 to Southmont on Tuesday.
Chase Lemming had 16 kills and 13 digs for the Patriots, while Rylea Wetz had 14 kills and 24 digs, Emilee Neubauer had 26 assists and 12 digs and Aubrey Spear had 14 digs.
The Patriots are 9-17 and will start sectional play on Oct. 12 against Lafayette Central Catholic.

DACC third at Battle
INA — The Lady Jaguars were third out of three teams at the Battle at the Lake, which was hosted by Rend Lake College.
Aimee Pickel had a 144 for Danville Area Community College, while Payton Armstrong had a 148, Cassadi Parks had a 149 and Jaque Wilson had a 166.
John A. Logan won with a team score of 523, while Rend Lake was second at 527.
