Natalie Libby tallied 16 points to lead the Hillies to the win. Sydney Bautz added 12 points and Hollie Cruickshank knocked down a pair of 3-pointers on her way to nine points for the winners.
Lawrence 60, Randolph 41
Yeira Davila notched a team-high 17 points, Keyshla Rosario added 11 points and every player on the Lancer bench scored in the victory.
Boys Hockey
Methuen 3, Amesbury/Whittier 2
The Rangers trailed 2-0 after a period, then took control with three goals in the second frame to improve to 4-0-1 on the season. Tallying goals for Methuen were Colin Comeau, Will MacLaren and Kevin Nestor, while Elias Nakhoul made 16 saves for the winners. For Amesbury/Whittier, Evan Murphy and Grady Stickney each scored a goal, while Eli Gaeta made 32 saves.
Nashua 4, Timberlane/Pelham 1
Simon Hawkes made 66 saves for Timberlane/Pelham in the Warrior Hockey Tournament. Cole Rego scored the Owls’ goal.

Methuen/Tewksbury 2, Peabody 1
Ella Duffy and Sophia Barbosa each scored a goal for the Red Rangers.

Haverhill 9, Gardner 1
Matt Costa erupted for five goals and added two assists, and was named the Gardner Holiday Tournament MVP, leading the Hillies to the tournament title. Haverhill (3-1) also received strong performances from Nolan Sheehan (1 goal, 2 assists), Rocco Belfiore (1 goal, 3 assists), Tim Rosenthal (1 goal), Ethan Jalbert (2 assists), Nolan Allen (1 assist) and Bobby Caron (1 assist). Max Boyer turned away 22 of 23 shots in net.
Alvirne 7, Timberlane/Pelham 1
In the Warrior Hockey Tournament, Justin Keogh scored the lone goal for the Owls.
Whittier Tech/Amesbury 4, Beverly 3 (OT)
Grady Stickney continued his torrid scoring to start the season with a hat trick. Owen Barnitski had the other. Colin Brown, Tommy Pouro, Stickney and Logan Pickering each had an assist. Vincenzo Foster made 34 saves in net to earn the win.
Pinkerton Academy 3, Barrington, R.I. 1
At the Heuchling & Swift Memorial Classic at UNH, Michael Saab, Matteo Marra and Jason Vigeant had single goals, while Nick Lamb, Coen Gordon and Johnny Barbarossa dished out single assists. Goalie Tanner Moody made 22 saves to earn the victory.
Boys Basketball
Haverhill 79, Leominster 60
In the semi-finals of the IAABO Board 95 Tournament in Westford, the Hillies’ combination of Alejandro Iraheta (24 points) and Joshua Harrington (21 points) were too much for Leominster. Jonzel Contreras added 11 points and Nate Harrington chipped in with eight.
Pelham 53, Fitchburg 44
In a consolation round game of the same Westford tournament, the Pythons had three players end in double figures with Brady Hegan and Brady O’Connor with 14 each, and Luke Estell with 13.
Dover 63, T imberlane 34
Matt Fitzgerald had 16 points to lead the way at the Oyster River Holiday Tournament. Fitzgerald and Cam Stevens were named to All-Tournament team.

Whittier Tech 62, Lawrence 53
In the first round of the Amesbury Christmas Tournament, Whittier Tech edged the Lancers behind Yakaylah Ortiz (13 points), Nevaeha Wilkins (13 points) and Nakisha Lopez (10 points). For Lawrence, Altagracia Maria Nunez score a game-high 19 points, while Lilyanna Centeno added 11 points and Yeira Davila had 10 points.
Exeter 39, Salem 36
In the final day of the Derryfield Holiday tournament, the Blue Devils (5-1) fell for the first time this season in the championship game despite the strong play from Morgann Raskow with 17 points and Makayla Burns with seven points.

In the New England Winter Classic Tournament, Rileigh Finneran scored 10 points in the loss.
Haverhill 51, Triton 38
In a non-league contest, Natalie Libby (15), Sydney Bautz (12) and Grace Wood (11) finished in double figures to lead the Hillies to the win.
Wrestling
Three area champs at All-Girls meet
Thirty teams sent wrestlers to the All-Girls Championship meet at North Andover High over the weekend, and the region came away with three individual champions.
Salem High sent two girls to the top of the podium, Alexia Coleman at 132 pounds and Keira Coleman at 138.
In addition, wrestling on her own home mats, North Andover’s Bella Prince claimed the 185-pound championship.
