NEWBURYPORT — Each year the Christian outreach team at Central Congregational Church works with Anchor of Hope Diaper Bank to hold a diaper drive in support families in need in local communities. Diapers are not covered by SNAP (food stamps) so Anchor of Hope Diaper Bank helps meet the needs of the youngest, most vulnerable members of our community.
The greatest need is for diapers in sizes 4, 5 and 6. All brands and sizes are welcome, including open packages, as long as you mark the size on any loose diapers. Also needed: wipes, diaper cream, baby wash and shampoo. Last year’s diaper drive collected more than 5,500 diapers and more than 3,200 wipes.
This year the team is collecting diapers and supplies through Nov. 6. Folks may deliver donations until Nov. 6 to the church office or have online purchases delivered directly to Central Congregational Church, 14 Titcomb St, Newburyport MA 01950. Financial donations to support this effort are happily accepted.
Donations accepted during office hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 14 Titcomb St., Newburyport. For more information, email: info@centralnewburyport.org
