1. What would you say is the secret to your success on the diamond?: My new coach these past two years, Mark Veilleux. I’m so lucky to have him as my coach. I’d also say what makes me successful is that I’m always working hard no matter what, on and off the field, whether it be practice or a game.
2. What is your favorite color?: Blue.
3. Who is the funniest teammate of yours?: I laugh a lot with all of my teammates, but the funniest is Lila Flynn. She’s one of my closest friends off the field as well, and we have the same sense of humor and can always laugh with one another and have a good time!
4. What is your favorite meal of the day?: Lunch, because I get to socialize with all my friends at school.
5. Fill in the blank: The best part about being a student at Danvers High School is … : The people. The friends and teachers make the school a very special place. I love being able to see people I don’t normally hang out with at school along with my close friends as well.
6. If you could go on a two-week vacation anywhere in the world free of charge, where would you go?: I’d go on an African safari. I love traveling with my family and have been to a lot of places, but Africa is definitely on my bucket list!
7. Who is the toughest pitcher you’ve ever faced?: (Former Peabody High superstar) Abby Bettencourt. Her speed and attitude were incredible.
8. Rank these in order as which you’d like to do most (and a quick reason why for each): A.) Go sky diving; B.) Attend the NCAA Softball Championships; C.) Attend a country music concert; and D.) Run a marathon: 1. NCAA World Series (it would be awesome to see those amazing women play in real life); 2. Sky diving (I am a very adventurous person, so this is something that sounds very fun), 3. Attend a country music concert (I like to listen to country music, but I have never been to a country-specific concert). 4. Run a marathon.
9. What do you feel that your team needs to do to have as much postseason success as possible in the upcoming Division 3 state tournament?: Keep up our strong hitting and supporting Skylar Coakley’s dominant pitching will be key to making it far in the postseason.
