1. If you had a walk-up song before batting, what would it be?: I’m honestly not completely sure, but I’d probably go with ‘Yes Indeed’ by L’il Baby and Drake. Mostly because I’ve had that as my walk-up song in the past and I’m pretty superstitious, so I like to stick with what works.
2. In your opinion, what’s the proper way to wear your softball pants: at the knee with socks and stirrups showing, or down to your ankles?: At the knee with socks showing. I’m not a fan of how softball pants look when they’re down to your ankles, and I’ve always played with them at knee length.
3. Has there ever been a time where one of your teammates ‘wowed’ you with something they did playing softball?: There’s been many times that my teammates have wowed me with things that they’ve done. I’m very impressed with the way that all of my teammates are able to maintain positive attitudes when playing. However, one specific time a teammate ‘wowed’ me is when they were playing shortstop and made a diving stop and tossed the ball to me at second base from the ground.
4. What upcoming senior event at BHS are you looking forward to the most?: I’m looking forward to prom, because I’m excited to get ready with my friends. And I can’t wait for graduation, because I’m excited for summer and softball tournaments to officially start
5. Other than your own team’s, which uniforms do you like the best in the Northeastern Conference?: I like Peabody’s because I think they look clean and well put together, and I love the navy-and-white look.
6. What has been your proudest moment on the softball field?: Last year when I hit a walk-off home run to win our game against Danvers at home. I remember that I had been having a hard time hitting leading up to that point, and I’m most proud of how I was able to look past certain mistakes I had made previously in that game and pull through for my team.
7. What would be your dream vacation destination?: Anywhere tropical and near the beach. I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii or Bora Bora.
8. What are your plans for next year?: I’ll be attending Wellesley College, where I’ll continue to play softball for their team. I’m undecided in what I’ll be studying, but I’m interested in environmental science, psychology, and other STEM majors.
