CRESAPTOWN — Levi Carrington recorded a 30-point double-double in Calvary’s 62-24 win over Great Commission 62-24 on Thursday.
“The boys played with heart, enthusiasm, and were aggressive on defense,” Calvary head coach Steve Robinette said.
Carrington finished with 11 rebounds and four steals for the Eagles (2-0).
Nathan Strachan added 12 points with seven rebounds and four steals.
“On the offensive side, we played very well,” Robinette said. “Protecting the ball and working inside to our bigs and putting up good numbers.”
Geren Knight also scored 12 points with five rebounds.
Canyon Michael added six points and seven rebounds.
“We had three boys score in the double figures, but this wouldn’t be possible without the help of the guards feeding them the ball,” Robinette said.
Calvary forced 12 steals and grabbed 18 offensive rebounds.
“We were dominant on the boards, giving us multiple second and third shot opportunities,” Robinette said.
Liam Gibbons led the Bears (0-2) with seven points. Luke Fleck added four and Elijah Bent had three.
“These boys just continue to improve and grow together as a team each and every game,” Robinette said.
Calvary hosted Heritage Friday evening.
