TO THE EDITOR: My name is Jeff Kelley and I have been a Town of AuSable town justice for the last 12 years.
I have always tried to serve with honesty, integrity, fairness and respect for all who have come before me whether as a defendant, victim , landlord or tenant, inmate , prosecutor or attorney, and have performed over 30 weddings.
Everyone has a side to their story and has a right to be heard. From 1997 to 2009 I also served as a town councilman and deputy supervisor. I enjoy serving the people of the Town of AuSable and hope that you would put your trust in me to serve another four years as your town justice. Please come out and cast your vote on Nov. 3 .
Thank you all for your trust, your vote and your consideration.

TO THE EDITOR: The election for Clinton County sheriff is important to us all.
It is not at all about a political party but what and who is best for our area. That is why I am supporting candidate Brent Davison and unquestionably suggest you do also.
Recently, candidate Davison stopped by my house to introduce his specific “5 Point Plan.” We discussed our mutual concerns for the county’s safety and prosperity.
I have no doubt that he is the right person for the position and has substance backed up by his experience, integrity, and plans.
With respect to the current sheriff, most of us are aware of the pattern of sexual harassment that was tolerated in the Sheriff’s Department, resulting in litigation costing us taxpayers money to settle and monitor.
Additionally, I had previously contacted the sheriff to take action on a local matter that adversely affected us all and environmental policy. My concerns were met by silence and no response or action. Nothing! To me his “leadership” is lacking and the deputies are not doing what they are paid to do.
I even spoke to the county legislature of my concerns, and they forwarded my letter to him. Again, silence. The current sheriff is apparently ineffective and has been in office too long.
It is time for us to elect candidate Brent Davison for Clinton County sheriff.

TO THE EDITOR: When I think of our current Representative in NY-21 the 1979 Police song “Message in a Bottle” comes to mind.
Maybe we need to send out an S.O.S to find her. It seems she has lost all interest in our Congressional district. There was a time when Stefanik never missed a photo op with a cow. Showing all of us her love for Chocolate Milk. Jump forward to her Republican Wannabe replacement. He seems nowhere in sight, except on TV and social media. A Town Hall meeting seems to be a foreign term. He explains no policies he supports only that he is “Just like Trump”.
I’m guessing he wants us to have less Social Security, no healthcare. high gas prices and tariffs on our Canadian Energy. He does seem to avoid saying anything on the price of gas and groceries.
Remember when Stefanik blamed high grocery and gas prices on Biden? Now those prices are much higher, and Stefanik and the Wannabe stay very quiet. An invisible candidate and an invisible representative.
We need to dismiss these two people.
