TO THE EDITOR: Anthony Constantino has led a very lucky, privileged life.
He grew up rich, went to expensive schools, inherited a business and found someone to help expand it so he could box in Mexico. Now he has millions to self-finance a campaign and buy a seat in Congress. He has been places and done things people in the North Country only dream about.
So why is his campaign so angry, mean and divisive? His website Facebook page, Instagram account, rap albums, website, and an online game promoting disproven allegations drip in insults and resentment? He talks and acts in ways no parent would want their child to imitate. He provokes anger in people who suffer a lot more than he has.
I want to ask what kind of Congressman would Anthony be?
He wants to create jobs in the North Country but fires local workers and builds plants in South Carolina and Italy; hates wind farms but drives a Tesla; owns pharmaceutical stock but has no plan to maintain North Country hospitals Medicaid; and surrounds himself with associates accused or convicted of kidnapping, assault, lying to Congress and stealing money from a youth baseball league.
He had no second thoughts about sending expensive surveillance drones over his opponent’s property or keeping alive the disproven claim his opponent is under investigation.
And he gives where he can’t take: using belittling names for his opponents but getting bent out of shape when he’s called “Tony.”
And this should offend every woman and the men who respect us: his standup routine, performed in New York City contains jokes about having sex performed on him by women he degrades. He’s proud of it.

TO THE EDITOR: Our legislators and governor have made NY one of the highest taxed, regulated and debt-ridden states; banned hydraulic fracturing and restricted fossil fuels, causing exorbitant energy costs and destroying jobs; caused crime to skyrocket with lenient, no bail, no jail laws; failed to protect Jewish students in NYC from anti-Semitic mobs; passed restrictive firearms laws infringing on our constitutional rights and endangering public safety; issued driver’s licenses to illegal aliens who can then use that license to vote; and refused to cooperate with ICE in arresting criminal aliens.
New York legalized 100,000 clinician provided abortions annually, not counting dangerous chemical abortions; legalized assisted suicide which targets the elderly, disabled, depressed, and poor; legalized same-sex marriage in violation of God’s natural order; failed to protect sexually confused children from the transgender industry, puberty blockers and reassignment surgery; and failed to protect females by allowing biological males into female sports and locker rooms.
Our leaders also legalized recreational marijuana resulting in increased addiction, crime and societal destruction; mandated COVID vaccines and lockdowns resulting in economic destruction; promotes gambling to the detriment of families and society; built a huge welfare state resulting in waste, fraud, dependency and broken families; spends billions annually on illegal aliens while citizens suffer; and made NY so unlivable that over 400,000 citizens leave annually.
Only lunatics would believe this is good government. Given this long train of abuses, I hereby declare my independence and will vote for new leaders.
