The Laurens/Milford boys soccer team advanced to the Tri-Valley League title game in dramatic fashion Thursday, defeating Worcester 2-1 in double overtime.
Christian Lawson scored the golden goal two minutes into the second extra period when he capitalized on a goal-front scramble.
The game went into overtime in the first place due to a pair of goals in the final 80 seconds of regulation.
Derek Land put Worcester in front with 1:19 left on the clock but L/M responded just 24 seconds later when Aidan Mertz tied things up.
Both goalies were solid, with Tyler March making nine saves for L/M and Matthew Sanders stopping 11 shots for Worcester.
L/M will face Edmeston in the TVL final next Saturday.

Brayden Hurlbutt opened the scoring for the Panthers midway through the first half and Gavin McEnroe made it 2-0 with three minutes left in the half. Collin Lund and Brock Redner provided assists on the goals.
Sire Champen made three saves to earn the clean sheet while Brian Duncan had one stop for CV-S/SS.
Oneonta 2, Walton/Downsville 0
A pair of second-half goals helped Oneonta defeat Walton/Downsville 2-0 in its regular season finale on Thursday.
Darren Rose opened the scoring midway through the second half for OHS and Luca Rubin added an insurance goal just four minutes later.
Aiden Wamsley had one save in the shutout while Nate Harrington had six stops for W/D.
Oneonta (9-5) will visit Ithaca in the STAC Semifinals next Wednesday. Walton/Downsville (9-4) will be at Hunter-Tannersville next Tuesday.
Unatego/Franklin 10, Richfield Springs 0
Unatego/Franklin rolled to a 10-0 win over Richfield Springs in Thursday’s Tri-Valley League playoff game.
Jake Kingsbury and Xander Johnson each had hat tricks in the win with Kingsbury adding three assists. Itzu Guttman, Abdeen Zaggout, Kaiden Legree and Tyler Zachow rounded out the scoring.
Unatego/Franklin’s defense held the Eagles to zero shots on goal. Daniel Kane made 10 saves for Richfield Springs in the loss.
U/F improves to 9-5-1 with the win.

South Kortright edged Jefferson/Stamford 2-1 at home on Thursday.
Boston Quarino and Cole Thomas were the goal scorers for the Rams with Jack Byrne and JB Trimbell providing assists.
Leland Donato-Williamson found the back of the net for J/S.
Brayden Sparkes had one save for SK while Max Eisel made 15 stops for J/S.
South Kortright improves to 10-4 while Jefferson/Stamford falls to 5-9-1.
Margaretville 6, Charlotte Valley 1
A five-goal first half helped Margaretville defeat Charlotte Valley 6-1 in Thursday’s Delaware League contest.
Robbie Sass had two goals for the Blue Devils while Anthony Maggio, Luis Gutierrez Gonzalas, Dom DiBenedetto and Hunter Balcom each found the back of the net as well.
Jayden Zimmerman scored the only goal for the Wildcats.
CJ Fairbairn made three saves for Margaretville and Landon Cullipher made six stops for Charlotte Valley.
Margaretville (7-5-1) will face Gilboa/Roxbury next Tuesday while Charlotte Valley (1-12) will host Jefferson/Stamford the same day.

Nayla Miley led the Sidney girls to a 2-1 overtime road win against Unatego on Thursday.
Miley scored both goals for the Sabers including the game-winner with 34 seconds left in the first overtime.
Lizzie Craft scored for Unatego with an assist from Madisyn Birdsall.
Both goalies were excellent, with Sidney’s Paige Duchnowski making nine saves and Unatego’s Dixie Boglioli stopping 10 shots.
Sidney improves to 11-3 while Unatego drops to 10-2-1.
