ESSEX — Ballots for Essex’s annual municipal election were still being counted at the Gloucester Daily Times’ press deadline.
The only contested race was for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. It pitted incumbent and current Chair Alva Ingaharro against challenger Dexter Lee-Viator.
Also on the ballot were two overrides of tax-limiting Proposition 2 1/2, already approved by annual Town Meeting earlier this month.
