MOULTRIE — Five first place finishes were achieved by the Lady Packers during the Tift County track and field meet, held on Wednesday.
In the 100-meter dash, Nacardia Robinson ran a time of 13 seconds 37 milliseconds.
Two relay teams also won first place.
4×100-meters finished with a time of 51.28, and 4×200 meters finished in 1:49.47.
Out in field events, winning first in the high jump was YaKerria Moore, whose jump was 4 feet 10 inches.
Rajayla McBride beat out everyone else in the triple jump with a distance of 35-7.
Only two other placements within the top 10 positions would go to the Lady Packers during field events.
Taking second place in the shot put with a distance of 31-6 was Aubrey Edge.
Robinson finished fourth in the long jump with 14-9.
Including those first place finishes, the Lady Packers saw a total of 17 high scoring placements during track events.
Following Robinson in the 100-meter dash was third place finisher Aziah McNeal, who finished in 13.46, and fifth place finisher Samiya Fuller, who crossed the finish line in 13.83.
The 200-meter dash saw two athletes in the front of the crowd.
Moore was in second with a time of 27.75, and in fifth was Messiah Bender at 28.67.
During the 800-meter run Karen Mendoza was the fifth to cross the finish line with a time of 3:12.24.
A couple runners behind her was Allison Quiroz, who finished in 3:23.02 and received ninth place.
In the final, traditional footrace, with a distance of 1600-meters, Yarely Zongua finished fifth after running for 7:11.44.
Eighth place went to Quiroz with a time of 8:12.99 and slightly behind her was Mendoza at 8:58.94 with the ninth place finish.
Moving into the hurtles, two athletes competed in both the 100-meter and 300-meter and both placed during each event.
Saniyah Bowman received fourth place in the 100-meter with a time of 20.23, and fifth place in the 300-meter with 56.52.
Taking sixth in the 100-meter was Brianna Hill at 20.93. During the 300-meter Hill, after 59.42, received eighth place.
In addition to the two first place finishes in relay races, the Lady Packers also placed second during the 4×800, with a finishing with a time of 14:03.97.
During their next meet, the Lady Packers will have another opportunity to advance their placement next Wednesday at Packer Park.
