Makenna Doyle didn’t have any freshman nerves in the postseason.
Doyle scored six goals as third-seeded Niagara Wheatfield defeated No. 6 Lockport, 13-9, in a Section VI Class B quarterfinal.
Junior Ava Devald added four goals and six assists for the Falcons. Rowyn Springer added two goals and goalkeeper Amber Bolam recorded six saves.
With the win, Niagara Wheatfield (10-7) plays the winner of No. 2 Clarence and No. 7 Williamsville North in a Class B semifinal Thursday with a time and location to be determined.
Lockport had six different goalscorers, including senior Sara Burke, junior Sky Wendt and sophomore Savanna Shaft, who all scored two goals apiece. Taylor Fiegel, Emma Ostrowski, and Jenna Stahli all scored one goal each.
Ava Bragg recorded nine saves for the Lions. Lockport finished the season with a 6-11 record.
Class A quarterfinal

The Wolverines held onto an 8-7 halftime lead and used four different goal scorers to beat City Honors in a Class A quarterfinal. The victory was Niagara Falls’ first postseason win since its program began in 2008.
Eighth-grader Colette Printup recorded a game-high 10 points, including seven goals in the win.
Sophomore Sophia Contento added four goals and three assists while sophomore Tori Franke and eighth-grader Aydan Janese scored one goal each.
Niagara Falls (9-6) plays No. 1 Lancaster in a Class A semifinal at 5 p.m. Thursday in Lancaster.
Tessa Feuerstein scored three goals and Natalie McNamare added two for City Honors. The Centaurs finished the season with a 6-9 record.
Class C quarterfinal

Juliet Chadima scored six goals and Sam Grover recorded her 100th career save as the Vikings defeated the Tigers in a Class C quarterfinal. Natalie Malush added three goals, while Charlotte Steck, Savannah Samplinski, Madelyn Forbes and Teagan Willats all scored once.
Chadima also recorded her 100th draw control of the season and 300th of her career during the win. The senior now has 104 on the season and 303 in her career.
Grover stopped seven shots, before Keira Murray stopped six shots. Grand Island (6-10) plays No. 2 Hamburg at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Class C semifinal.
Amherst finished the season with a 13-4 record.
Class D quarterfinal

Sophomore Madison Kramp scored the lone goal for the Panthers. Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Tate recorded 16 saves.
Salamanca had 11 different goal scorers and built a 12-1 lead at halftime. With the win, Salamanca (7-10) hosts the winner of No. 2 Eden/North Collins and No. 6 Depew in a Class D semifinal at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Newfane finished the season with a 0-15 record.
