WHEELING, W.Va. — Keyser’s Noah Broadwater finished in sixth place at the West Virginia state championships, held at Oglebay Resort on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Broadwater was the reigning state champion, but was unable to defend his title with a 23-over score of 165.
Kerri-Anne Cook of Westside won the Class AA title with a 10-over 152.
The area was also represented at the team level by several teams in Class A including East Hardy who finished fifth with a 539.
Petersburg took seventh place with a 566.
The Cougars top performer was Jordan Teets finishing in 11th place with a 28-over 170.
Nate Smith (182) and JW Teets (187) finished inside the top 25.
Levi Mongold (209) finished in 37th place.
Lucas Riggleman finished in eighth place as Petersburg’s top finisher, carding a 168.
John Michael Minnich tied for 31st place with a 201.
Payton Berg (204) and Colton Taylor (205) of Petersburg finished 34th and 35th, respectively.
Moorefield’s James Williams shot a 190, good for 24th place.
