KEYSER, W.Va. — Bibs Felton scored her 1,000th career point, and No. 2 Keyser went 2-0 at the Keyser Showcase over the weekend.
The Golden Tornado (8-1) routed Spring Mills, 51-29, on Saturday, and Felton’s game-high 21 points put her over the milestone.
Jillian Ault added nine points, and Rooney Urice added eight.
Keyser shut out Jefferson (0-5) in the first half Friday, coasting to a 50-21 win.
The Golden Tornado scored 17 points in each of the first two quarters, leading 34-0 at halftime and 42-8 after three.
Felton was the only player on either team to score in double figures, finishing with 15 points in three quarters of action.
The Golden Tornado are at Mountain Ridge (5-4) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Fort Hill splits in Keyser
KEYSER, W.Va. — Fort Hill split two games at the Keyser Showcase, defeating Jefferson 44-23 on Saturday after falling 35-30 to Spring Mills Friday.
Against Jefferson, the Sentinels (5-6) led 10-8, 20-15 and 37-16 through three quarters.
Aubrey Fultz and Addison Furstenberg each scored 12 points for Fort Hill while Caniyah Plummer scored 10.
Kameryn Sampson paced the Cougars (0-7) with 12 points.
Against Spring Mills, Fort Hill led 21-18 heading to the fourth, but was outscored 17-9 in the fourth quarter.
The Sentinels led 9-7 and 12-10 after two frames.
Plummer led Fort Hill with 12 points while Furstenberg scored 11.
Furstenberg shot 7 of 13 at the charity stripe.
Cheyenne Raymond led both teams with 15 points for the Cardinals (1-5).
The Sentinels visit Preston on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
No. 5 Petersburg 79, Moorefield 55
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Petersburg led 18-6 after one quarter and cruised from there, defeating Moorefield on Monday.
The Vikings (6-2) led 42-17 and 57-34 after three.
Shyane Tawney paced Petersburg with 19 points including 11 after halftime.
Addie Day scored 10 of her 18 points in the first half while Sis Cole added 13 points.
Brenna See led the Yellow Jackets (2-6) with 18 points, scoring all but one after halftime while Kerigan Bergdall scored 15.
Moorefield heads to Berkeley Springs on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Petersburg travels to Lincoln on Friday at 7 p.m.
Northern 48, North Marion 27
FARMINGTON, W.Va. — Down 8-7 after one, Northern outscored North Marion 14-2 in the second quarter and took control for a win on Saturday.
Northern (5-4) led 21-10 at halftime and 35-20 heading to the fourth.
Abby Nelson led Northern with 12 points while Marisa Perez and Allahna Lacy each scored 11.
Reagan Ash led North Marion (1-7) with nine points.
Northern hosts No. 1 Southern (7-3) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Calvary drops pair
CRESAPTOWN — Calvary dropped a pair of games, falling 40-24 to Broadfording on Friday after losing to Hancock 44-40 in overtime Thursday.
Against Broadfording, Madie Robinette led the Eagles (1-6) with 10 points.
Andjela Vucetic led the Lions (6-3) with 15 points while Ravin Jeffries scored 12.
Tied at 7 after one, Broadfording led 21-10 at halftime and 31-18 after three.
Against Hancock, the Panthers (1-7) led 7-4, 21-12 and 31-23 through three quarters.
The Eagles outscored Hancock 13-5 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
Robinette paced Calvary with 19 points while Reagan Weeks scored 17.
Robinette scored 17 points after halftime while Weeks scored nine.
The Eagles visit Grace on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Berkeley Springs 51, Paw Paw 32
PAW PAW, W.Va. — Maddie Close and Katie Risinger scored 48 of Berkeley Springs’ 51 points in a win over Paw Paw on Friday.
Close scored 28 points with 16 in the first half while Risinger finished with 20, including 11 in the fourth quarter.
Joselyn Smith led the Pirates (6-1) with 12 points.
Berkeley Springs (7-3) led 13-5, 28-10 and 38-12 after three quarters.
Paw Paw heads to Lighthouse on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
