ROMNEY, W.Va. — Hampshire led 31-27 at halftime, but Keyser outscored them 20-7 in the third quarter to take control and win 58-46 on Friday.
Trey Dawson scored 10 of his 18 points in the third quarter for the Golden Tornado (5-6).
Keyser’s Braylon McGreevy recorded a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, adding a steal and a block.
He led both teams in scoring and shot 10 of 18 at the charity stripe.
Grayson Lambka scored 11 points with two rebounds, two assists and a steal while Lane Champion added 10 points and seven boards.
Matt Medina led the Trojans (0-12) with 11 points.
Keyser led 13-12 after one quarter and 47-38 after three.
Both teams face Moorefield in its next game.
Hampshire hosts the Yellow Jackets (4-5) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Keyser travels to Moorefield on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
Frankfort 49, Berkeley Springs 48
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Frankfort led after the first three quarters, but did just enough to defeat Berkeley Springs on Friday.
The Falcons (5-5) led 11-8, 27-22 and 40-33 through three quarters.
Kycin Waites led Frankfort with 18 points including three 3-pointers while Jeremy Phillips scored 10.
Sammy Stotler paced the Indians (6-5) with 17 points while Kyle Moore added 10.
Frankfort won the JV game 48-35 led by Ashton Lane’s 15 points and Mack McDonough’s 11.
J. Miller led Berkeley Springs with 14 points.
The Falcons also won the freshman game 64-24.
The Falcons head to Lincoln (3-5) on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
Pendleton Co. 73, No. 4 Petersburg 57
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Five of Pendleton County’s six players scored in double figures, leading to a win over Petersburg on Friday.
The loss snapped a six-game win streak for the Vikings (7-2).
Chase Owens led the Wildcats (8-2) with 20 points, followed by Henry Warner (14), Travis Owens (12) and Jayden Hess (11).
Kaleb Kuhn led both teams with 22 points for the Vikings, scoring 10 of Petersburg’s 17 in the second quarter.
Evan Tawney and Payton Metheny each scored 12 points with all of Tawney’s coming after halftime.
Petersburg played Lincoln on Saturday before hosting Frankfort on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Tucker County 52, No. 5 Mountain Ridge 43
HAMBLETON, W.Va. — Tucker County avenged a 62-58 overtime loss on Dec. 12, winning the rematch over Mountain Ridge on Friday.
The Mountain Lions (6-5) led 14-7, 22-21 and 37-29 through three quarters.
Cameron Breighner led the Miners (5-5) with 15 points while John Delaney scored 11.
Ethan Cummings paced Tucker County with 15 points, followed by Sam Marks (13) and Mikey Mitchell (11).
The Mountain Lions went 22-32 at the line with three players shooting at least 10 foul shots.
Mountain Ridge took the junior varsity game 47-41 led by Sam Patterson’s 14 points while Nate Davis also scored 14 for Tucker County.
The Miners travel to Northern (5-6) on Friday at 7 p.m.
BW beats Calvary, loses to Clear Spring
CUMBERLAND — Bishop Walsh split a pair of games, defeating Calvary 46-38 on Friday after falling 70-29 at Clear Spring Thursday.
Against Calvary, the Spartans (2-8) snapped an eight-game losing streak.
Bishop Walsh led 12-10, 25-23 and 33-30 through three quarters.
Michael Caporale paced the Spartans with 11 points while Jackson Miller scored 10.
Josh McHenry scored a game-high 15 points for the Eagles (1-7) while Blake Yoder added 11.
Calvary hosts Cumberland Valley on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Against Clear Spring, the Blazers (5-8) led 21-8, 38-13 and 53-26 through three frames.
Miller led the Spartans with 14 points while Clear Spring’s Dalton Albowicz scored a game-best 22.
Bishop Walsh travels to Trinity Christian (10-1) on Monday at noon.
Calvary 52, Legacy 50
STEPHENS CITY, Va. — Calvary won its first game of the season, defeating Legacy Christian on Thursday.
“Before the season even tipped off, we were told we wouldn’t have enough boys to field a team,” Calvary head coach Steve Robinette said. “Doubts surrounded the program, and expectations were low. But when opening day arrived, a group of God-fearing young men showed up, many of them whom had never played organized basketball before, ready to commit, learn and compete.”
Trailing 14-13 after one and tied at 24 at halftime, the Eagles outscored the Saints (4-1) 17-9 in the third quarter to take a 41-33 lead.
Legacy outscored Calvary 17-11 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough.
Yoder led the Eagles with 18 points while Micah Buczynski added 12 and McHenry scored 11.
“It was truly a complete team effort, highlighted by three players reaching double figures in scoring,” Robinette said. “The big men made their presence felt in a major way, posting double digits in both points and rebounds and controlling the paint on both ends of the floor.
Aiden Garber led both teams with 22 points for the Saints.
Calvary hosts Cumberland Valley (0-6) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Clay-Batelle 58, Union 54
MOUNT STORM, W.Va. — Union led through two quarters, but Clay-Batelle rallied in the fourth to complete a comeback win on Friday.
The Tigers (3-7) led 13-10 and 28-27 through two quarters before the Cee-Bees (9-0) took a 40-39 lead after three.
Clay-Batelle outscored Union 18-15 in the fourth quarter to complete the rally.
Trey Hoggins led both teams with 33 points for the Cee-Bees, scoring 10 in the fourth quarter and 16 in the second half.
Braylon Ward paced Union with 22 points including 15 in the second quarter.
Ward had a double-double with 10 rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Eric Linkswiler scored 15 of his 19 points after halftime while Corbin Streets added 10 points for the Tigers.
Streets also had a double-double with 12 rebounds while Linkswiler added five boards and two steals.
Union hosts Pocahontas County (1-6) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
