Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity recognizes Pat Kessler as the September 2025 Volunteer of the Month. Kessler classifies herself as an Air Force “brat.” Raised in a military family and shaped by ROTC, Kessler brings that spirit of service to Habitat every week.
Why Kessler shines: Kessler provides her time and kindness in our Habitat office each week. Kessler is often the first friendly greeting donors and partner families hear, answering questions, helping complete donation forms, routing calls and keeping communications organized. That steady presence is essential to the mission.
“I love the staff and other volunteers. I greatly admire their dedication to our important mission and purpose!” said Kessler.
Beyond Habitat, Kessler also volunteers with the Public Library, supports performances at the Cumberland County Playhouse as an usher, and attends the Crossville Women’s Veterans Group.
“Habitat has to be the most awesome program in the universe, making an impact in the lives of people needing stable housing,” said Kessler.
Join the Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity in thanking Pat for the heart, time, and reliability she brings to the community. Volunteers like Kessler make it possible for more families in Cumberland County to have a safe, decent place to call home.
Inspired by Kessler? The Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity would love to expand their volunteer team—on the build site, in the office, at the ReStore or behind the scenes.
