MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — A juvenile pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle Wednesday afternoon, sending the victim to the hospital.
“He was conscious and alert when we arrived,” fire Chief James “Jake”McNeilly. He said the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The juvenile, a male, was taken to Beverly Hospital.
Manchester police and Fire Ladder 1, Ambulance 1 and McNeilly responded to the crash, which was reported at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of Central and Elm Streets.
The victim is reportedly in stable condition, according to a posting on the Manchester-by-the-Sea Fire Department Facebook page.
