NEWBURYPORT — A massive nor’easter rolled into the region early Monday morning bringing with it strong winds, white-out conditions and clogged roads. With schools, government buildings and other establishments closed for the day, there was very little impeding road crews from clearing off streets for emergency vehicles and the few drivers who felt compelled to get behind the wheel. Weather forecasts have the storm pulling out by late Monday.
