The Blue Earth County Property Environmental Resources Department reminds all property owners that the second half of real estate taxes are due Wednesday.
A penalty will be applied if payment is not received on or before the due date or if mailed payments are postmarked after the due date.
Payments may be made in the following ways:
• By Mail. Payments must be postmarked on or before Oct. 15 and sent to: Blue Earth County Property and Environmental Resources, PO Box 3567, Mankato, MN 56002-3567.
• In-person. Property and Environmental Resources is on second floor of the Blue Earth County Government Center, 410 S. Fifth St. Hours are: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
• Online. A 3.5 percent fee will be charged when payments are made by credit card. Payments be eCheck will have a $1.45 transaction fee added. Online payments may be made at: publicaccess.blueearthcountymn.gov.
• Dropboxes. Payments may be dropped off in boxes near Door B at the Blue Earth County Government Center and Cub Foods, 1800 Madison Ave.
• Bank locations. Current year tax payments can be made at MinnStar Bank in Lake Crystal and St. Clair State Bank. Tax payments must be made during operating hours for that specific bank. Tax statements should be brought into locations to confirm correct tax amounts and better assist property owners.

Presentation to focus on voter registration
Michael Stalberger, Blue Earth County elections director, will discuss voter registration during his presentation 6 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium at Blue Earth County Library, 100 E. Main St.
“Voter Registration, Maintaining Records and Potential Federal Law Changes” will focus on how Minnesota’s election procedures are administered by county, city and township officials and the reliance on a statewide voter registration system to keep elections safe, secure, accurate, open and transparent.
A question-answer session is planned during the free event.
