Upcoming airport projects, including a future air traffic control tower, will be discussed during an open house 3:30-5:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Mankato Regional Airport, 3030 North Airport Road.
The city of Mankato is host for the event that will include opportunities for attendees to ask questions and share feedback.
The Mankato Regional Airport is one of the busiest in Minnesota, serving business, personal and flight training needs across the region, according to a city press release.

Choral festival concert set for Thursday
Minnesota State University’s Choral Invitational Festival Concert will be performed 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 632 South Broad St.
The concert features the University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, conducted by Elisabeth Cherland; the Eastview High School Concert Choir, conducted by Greg Douma; and Waseca High School Concert Choir, conducted by Megan Kreinbring.

Conference to focus on women’s finances
Building a financial future where women thrive is the focus of this year’s YWCA Mankato’s leadership and empowerment conference Nov. 12 at Minnesota State University.
“Resilient and Ready: Women Taking Charge” will feature keynote speaker Janine Rogan, financial feminist and author of “The Pink Tax.”
Conference participants will discuss the systems that continue to shape women’s lives and what it takes to rewrite the narrative.
Presentations by small business adviser and digital strategist Hannah Bretz and certified financial planner Chloe Cumbee also are slated.

Data centers to be discussed at forum
Space for education and conversations on data center development in the region are planned during a free event 1-4 p.m. Nov. 12 at South Central College’s Conference Center A, 1920 Lee Blvd.
Region Nine Development Commission and the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation are hosts for the Southcentral Minnesota Data Center Forum. Co-sponsors are the Southcentral Minnesota Clean Energy Council, Great River Energy, and Greater Mankato Growth.
Topics include data center technologies and designs, impacts on water and energy usage, current Minnesota legislation and the tools communities can use to secure economic and community benefits.
Event speakers include representatives of Great River Energy, the Freshwater Society, Blue Earth Light and Water, Clean Up our River Environment Minnesota and Dunham Associates. Two panel presentations are planned.
