Mankato Symphony Orchestra will present its second concert in its 2025–26 Music on the Hill chamber music series 3 p.m. Sunday.
“Between Two Worlds” will be performed in Trinity Chapel on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato.
Performers include Music on the Hill’s artistic director and cellist Richard Belcher, joined by violinist Cecelia Belcher and pianist Matthew McCright. Together they will perform Emilie Mayer’s Piano Trio in B minor, Op. 16 and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67.
Music on the Hills concerts reflect a commitment to present chamber music that is both intimate and deeply resonant, performed in a setting that brings audiences close to the music.

Library to host jigsaw puzzle derby
Teams from throughout the area will be putting together 500-piece jigsaw puzzles Wednesday morning at Elysian Area Public Library.
The free puzzle derby starts at 9 a.m. and teams have until noon to complete puzzles provided by the library. A prize will be awarded to the team that finishes first.

Volunteers needed to help fix stuff
People with talents for fixing, tinkering or mending items are needed to help out at upcoming Fix-It Clinics in Mankato.
Skilled volunteers will assist local residents repair items. The clinics are one example of how to reduce waste, a press release from organizers said.
This initiative aims to promote sustainable practices while strengthening community bonds through hands-on skill sharing and resource collaboration.
Volunteers also are needed to assist with general duties at events that will be scheduled about once a month.
