LAWRENCE — As temperatures soar to 100 degrees, the city has an array of options to stay cool in the heat. Spray bars and splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Sunday, July 5, at the following locations:

O’Neill Park, 85 Chestnut St.
Storrow Park, 103 High St.
Hancock Projects, 37 Leonard St.
Beacon Projects, 43 Duckett Ave.
191 Newbury St.
66 Maginnis Ave.
134 Bernard Ave.
These city-operated spray parks and splash pads require visitors to follow standard municipal and Department of Conservation and Recreation safety guidelines.
Adult Supervision: Children must not be left unsupervised. Most facilities require children under 10 to 12 years old to be accompanied by an adult.
No Rough Play: Running, shoving, standing on spray equipment, or horseplay is strictly prohibited to avoid slipping.
Swim Diapers: Infants and children who are not toilet-trained must wear tight-fitting swim diapers. Regular diapers are completely barred.
Diaper Changes: Do not change diapers or clothes near the water pad. Use the designated restroom facilities.
Communicable Diseases: Anyone suffering from an open sore, bandage, skin infection, or recent diarrhea is forbidden from entering the water play area.
Prohibited Items and Activities: Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, or scooters are banned from the spray zone.
No Pets: Animals — including dogs—are strictly prohibited inside the splash pad perimeter for sanitation reasons.
Glass and Alcohol: Glass containers, alcohol, or illicit substances are completely banned.
Food and Drinks: Eating or drinking directly on the spray deck is generally not permitted. Only water is allowed in the immediate area to prevent debris.
No Smoking: Smoking or vaping is barred within the park premises.
Weather Policy — Inclement Weather: At the first sign of thunder or lightning, guests must immediately vacate the water area and seek enclosed shelter.
