The 27th Middle Street Walk on Saturday transformed the historic center of Gloucester into a hive of holiday activities.
This year, the newly reopened Sawyer Free Library, at 2 Dale Ave., was the venue for the popular Gingerbread Creation contest, while visitors viewed Jason Grow’s exhibition of photographic portraits of veterans from Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War at City Hall, 9 Dale Ave.
Also on tap were free musical performances, tours, and horse-drawn hayrides.
