NEWBURYPORT — Award-winning actor Sheryl Faye, known for her portrayals of historical women ranging from Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Amelia Earhart to Queen Elizabeth II, will visit “The Morning Show” on Thursday to discuss “Liberty and Legacy,” a multimedia live show that commemorates this year’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by bringing the words, wit and wisdom of Abigail Adams to life.
Host Mary Jacobsen will talk with Faye about the ways Adams transcended her role as a founder’s wife, showing herself to be a fearless political thinker, advocate for women’s rights and a moral compass during the American Revolution and the formation of a new nation.
Faye will describe how, by using Adams’ letters and writings as well as contemporary staging and technology, she enables audiences to experience the first Second Lady and the second First Lady’s enduring relevance through conversations about liberty, equality, leadership, and civic responsibility.
