Emmy Monrreal Duran smacked a three-run home run as part of her six RBI day as the Hillies came away with the non-league victory.
Emma Proia added a double and three RBI, Brookelyn Blais had a double and two RBI. Gianna Pistone and Reece Favalora had two hits each.
Ava Moscaritolo earned the win on the mound, striking out five.
Boys Volleyball
Chelmsford 3, Lawrence 1
The Lancers put up a great fight against the Lions, losing 19-25, 25-13, 25-16 and 26-24. Victor Torres had seven kills, five aces and four digs. Christian Gomez finished with 20 assists.
Gr. New Bedford 3, Lawrence 0
The Lancers lost in three close sets (25-23, 25-22, 25-20). Christian Gomez finished with 26 assists, Edward Torres had six serving points, including two aces, Victor Torres recorded eight kills, Julio Santana had eight digs and Yadian Lopez had two blocks.
Andover 3, Central Catholic 0
Colin Bowler finished with five kills and four blocks, Michael Najjar had 17 assists and Elijah Hong chipped in with ten digs to lead the Raiders.
Lowell 3, Haverhill 0
Playing well for the Hillies were Peter Grillo (10 assists), Brady Paris (5 kills), Patrick Osgood (5 digs), Kole Sindoni (2 blocks) and John Santos with an ace.
Girls Lacrosse
Reading 11, North Andover 4
Isa Robinson scored two goals and assisted on another as the Scarlet Knights fell in the non-league game. Meghan Daley and McKenna Mohr scored the other goals. In net Taylor Farrell made seven saves.
Methuen 15, Arlington 14
Senior captains Kiera Fitzpatrick (6 goals, 4 assists), Kate Fitzpatrick (2 goals), Elizabeth Descheneaux (2 goals) and Allie Bolduc (2 goals, 2 assists) combined for 12 of the team’s goals as the Rangers came away with an exciting non-league win.
MJ Petisce, Chloe Pickett and Lexi McKenna had one goal each, while goalie Meghan Terry made seven saves for the win.

Northeast Tech 5
Gr. Lawrence/Nashoba (2-1) was led by junior captain Samantha Richards, who had four goals and junior Alanna Alden scored twice and added one assist. Senior goalie Amber King stood tall with 12 saves.
Brooks 11, St. Mark’s 10 (OT)
With two minutes left in overtime, Lydia Tangney scored the game winner to lift Brooks to the win. She ended the game with four goals and five draw controls. Tilly Crosby and Laura Sabbo scored two goals each, and Sloan Hayden, Mary Adams and Grace Keane scored single tallies.
Boys Tennis
Billerica 3, Haverhill 2
The Hillies captured wins at first and second singles before Billerica won the last three sets to take the win. Miles Stapel won his match in straight 6-3 sets and Jesse Rubera also won in straight sets by scores of 6-0, 6-1.

Gloucester 6, Haverhill 0
Gloucester pitcher Brayden Francis tossed a no-hitter with one walk and struck out eight in the non-league win over the Hillies.
NECC Track and Field
The Northern Essex Community College Knights turned in some strong performances Sunday at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational at Gordon College.
On the women’s side, Maci Abbatessa finished third in the shot put, with her best throw of the season so far (10.39m). She also finished third in the discus (30.22m) and seventh in the hammer throw. Based on her performance in the hammer throw, she has earned an automatic qualifying mark for the NJCAA National Meet in May. This is now her third NQ event of the season. Estephany Lizardo took two seconds off her 400 time from last week.
On the men’s side, Edwin SamMbaka ran a personal best in the 100m (11.77), while Victor Metivier improved in both the 100 and 200. Derrick Pierre Paul was third overall in the high jump and Karl Wolfgang finished top ten in the shot put.
