The Rangers improved to 4-2 behind a huge game by Jared Cripps, who ended the night with 9 goals and 2 assists. Brady Kloster added 3 goals, Owen Howell had 2 goals and 3 assists, Sean Morris had a goal and an assist, while Joey Casarano chipped in with 1 goal and 2 assists giving him 100 career points. Desi Csizmadia added a goal and also won 16 of 25 faceoffs.
Windham 11, Winnacunnet 9
Ryan Parke had a strong day with 4 goals and 1 assist to help lead the Jaguars to victory. Josh Trudel added 3 goals and 1 assist and Nate Crowley had 2 goals and 1 helper.
Softball
Salem 15, Portsmouth 1
The Blue Devils had six players with multiple hits including Brianna Lucacio (3 for 5, 3 RBI), Emerson Poulin (3 for 3, 3 runs), Abby Beeley (2 for 4, 2 RBI), Angelina Ventullo and Michaela Dailey (2 for 2), and Jenny Olson (2 for 4, RBI), while, Addie Lucier added a home run. Dailey was also the winning pitcher going the first four innings, giving up an unearned run and striking out one. Jaelyn Boretti tossed two scoreless innings of relief.
Pinkerton Academy 5, Nashua South 1
The Astros improved to 5-0 on the season behind pitcher Madi Cunha. She improved to 3-0 on the season with a five-hit shutout while walking 2 and striking out 8.
Offensively, Maddy Schoenenberger (2 runs, 2 doubles) and Avery Carvalho both had 3 hits, while Julia Caruso was 2 for 3, including a home run, and scored 2 runs. Jennie Hiscox also belted a triple.
Pelham 15, Plymouth 2
The Pythons combined to score 13 runs in the second and third inning before cruising the rest of the way. Caileigh Aguiar was the winning pitcher, while she was also 1 for 1 and scored 3 runs offensively. Aubrin Berger (2 for 3, 2 RBI) was the lone batter with multiple hits, while, Sophia Forristall had a hit and 2 RBI and Lauren Lacoss had a hit and scored 2 runs.
Conval 3, Pelham 2
The Pythons could only manage three hits in the game by Sophia Guinazzo, Morgan Berton and Aguiar, who was also the tough luck losing pitcher.
Timberlane 10, Windham 5
Alexa Salafia tossed the complete game victory on the mound which included striking out 9 batters, while she was also 2 for 2 at the plate with a RBI and drew 2 walks. Also chipping in included Audrina Cordeiro, Elizabeth Shanley, Lilly Grosky and Madison McFadden who each had one hit, but also combined to knock in 7 runs.
For Windham, Anna Mitrou was 3 for 4 with a towering home run and she also knocked in 3 runs, and Ella Wilkins was 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles.
Exeter 24, Timberlane 10
Exeter took a 12-3 lead after the third before cruising the rest of the way for the win. In the losing effort, Salafia was 2 for 4 with a home run, 4 RBI and also drew a walk, while, Cordeiro was 2 for 3 with a solo home run, while scoring 3 times and McFadden was 2 for 4 and scored twice.
Lowell Catholic 8, Whittier Tech 7
The Wildcats trailed 5-3 going to the top of the seventh and scored four runs, only to see Lowell Catholic counter with three and come away with the walk-off victory. In the losing effort, Giovanna Ohannesian was 2 for 4 and scored three runs, Callie Nadeau was 2 for 3 and scored two runs and Wilmeri Valera smacked a three-run home run.
Northeast 5, Greater Lawrence 4
Northeast celebrated with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to prevail in the CAC contest.
Sam Nasella did everything she could to single handily win the game but was the hard luck pitcher giving up 5 hits and striking out 7 batters. At the plate she led the offense with 3 hits and she scored 2 runs. Ritchie Morel chipped in with 2 hits and knocking in 2 runs.
Tewksbury 17, Methuen 6
In the losing effort, Ari Baez had a 3-run home run for the Rangers (4-3), while Kiele Coleman, Adrianna Delaney and Bella Medeiros had two hits apiece.
Haverhill 20, Lawrence 0
Cayla Irwin was the winning pitcher as she had 8 strikeouts, allowing 3 hits over five shut out innings. She also belted a home run.
Offensively, Samantha Dion went 4 for 4, with a triple, scored 2 runs and had 5 RBI. Reece Favalora tripled and scored one run. Ava Moscaritolo hit a triple and a double and had 2 RBI. Gwen Hennington drove in five runs on two hits, including a home run.
Baseball
Timberlane 11, Windham 6
Both Liam Kelley and Ryan Kontos smacked home runs, and the two of them along with Anderson Petry and Frankie Carrasquillo combined to go 5 for 9 with 9 RBI as well as 3 walks, the two home runs and a double. Myles Peetz was the winning pitcher as he went 3 innings and struck out 5.
For Windham, Paul Armstrong finished 3 for 4 including a home run while he scored twice and knocked in three, and Alec Arinello was 2 for 4 with a RBI.
Exeter 12, Timberlane 2
The Owls only managed three hits in the entire game, one each from Matt Fitzgerald, Kontos and Keenan Hagerty.
Central Catholic 16, Lowell 5
Central was up 12-0 after the third inning and two innings later the game was called for the mercy rule. Brady Rickenbach was 1 for 1 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored, while Derek Boodoo and Jake Bartlett each had a hit and combined to knock in 5 runs. Aiden Pinet and John Keefe combined for the five innings on the mound, including the latter tossing 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.
Plymouth 2, Pelham 1 (8 innings)
Henry Paquette went all 8 innings on the mound striking out 10 surrendering only one earned run to get the tough luck loss. Justin Desmarais had the lone RBI for the Pythons.
Pelham 10, Conval 6
Nolan Drew got the win on the mound for Pelham going four strong innings. Kevin Hardy pitched three scoreless innings for the save. Jake Davidson and Zach James had three hits and two RBIs apiece. Justin Desmarais also added a couple of hits in the win.
Billerica 3, Haverhill 2
Billerica’s 3 run fifth inning was all enough to hold onto in a MVC victory over Haverhill. The Hillies (3-4) scored runs in the 6th and 7th innings and still had the bases loaded but couldn’t push past any additional runs after a line drive catch turned into a double play with a runner thrown out at home.
Andover 3, North Andover 0
Chris Jaillet tossed the complete game shut out to help the Golden Warriors improve to 4-1 on the season. Dom Pefine gave up three unearned runs for his first defeat of the season. Zach Faro was 2 for 2 for the Scarlet Knights.
Chelmsford 7, Lawrence 1
Will Perez managed the only hit for the Lancers to score Angel Castillo. Christian Reynoso, Fily Peralta and Wilmeury Diaz combined to do the pitching for Lawrence.

Central Catholic 5, Lawrence 0
Winning their matches for Central included singles players Arnav Lele (6-0, 6-1), Ryan Melesjy (6-0, 6-3) and James Diamantis (6-0, 6-0). In doubles play, it was Michael Hamlin and James Pelletier winning 6-1, 6-0 and second singles Alex Colombosian and Owen Bergeron winning 6-1 and 6-2.
Andover 4, Haverhill 1
Winning their matches for the Golden Warriors included Conor Rea (6-1, 7-6), Peter Doan (6-1, 6-1) and then both the doubles teams including Aarit Chauhan and Ricky Tran (6-1, 6-1) and Kian Keyhan and Hridai Dharan (6-0, 6-0).
Girls Tennis
North Andover 5, Lawrence 0
The Scarlet Knights made quick work of this one as winners included Tika Roy (6-0, 6-0), Sophia Yee (6-1, 6-0) and Jocelyn Jankowski (6-0, 6-0) and then on doubles it was the team of Callie Dias and Ena Deasy (6-0, 6-1) and then the duo of Kendall Wolfe and Palomi Nihalani (6-0, 6-0) also winning their matches.
Westford Academy 5, North Andover 0
In a non-league match, the Scarlet Knights were defeated by a talented Westford team. At first doubles, Dias and Deasy put up a strong fight, losing 6-1 and 6-3.
Central Catholic 5, Lawrence 0
Winning singles matches for Central Catholic (2-1) include Kayleigh Furbush, Meg Washburn and Kaya Asmar, while the doubles teams of Ella Gregorio and Morgan Bateman, as well as Melina Panagiotakopoulos and Amalia Panagiotakopoulos also came away with wins.
Methuen 5, Billerica 0
The Rangers improved to 5-0 behind single match victories by Tavi Patel (6-0, 6-0), Bree Lawrence (6-1, 6-2) and Liv Lawrence (6-2, 6-0) and then doubles matches with the team of Jill McSweeney and Mia Do’Nofrio (6-1, 6-2) and Ava Duffy with Rachel Schena (6-0, 6-0).
Methuen will have a big challenge in their next match coming against Central Catholic on Wednesday.
Haverhill 3, Lowell 2
The Hillies (2-2) swept the three singles matches with Mallory Amirian beating Siya Patel (6-1, 6-0), Meredith Amirian beating Erin Nji (6-0, 6-0) and Abby Burrell getting past Tina Nguyen (6-0, 6-2).
Newton South 5, Andover 0
The Golden Warriors were swept in a non-league match. Andover is now 3-1 on the season.
Brooks School 8, Governor’s Academy 1
Winning their singles matches for Brooks included Caroline Gay (6-2, 6-0), Honey Plum (6-2, 6-3), Ivy Gong (6-1, 6-3), MacKenzie Gordan (7-6/3, 1-6, 10-1) and Tessa Darke (7-5, 6-2). In doubles, winners includes Gay/Plum (8-3), Ging/Posey Connell (8-6), Ella Whelan and Gordan (8-3).

Pinkerton Academy 10, Souhegan 9
Hannah Lisauskas led the offensive attack with three goals and three assists giving her 100 career goals and 200 career points. Hailey Schnider added 3 goals, Delaney Summers had 2 and Bella Pinardi had 2 as well as 1 assist. Goalie Sara DiClemente made 10 saves.
Windham 19, Spaulding 0
Offensively, the Jaguars were led by Sophia Ponzini (5 goals, 1 assist) and Emma Kendzulak (3 goals), while, Ella and Mia Gallinelli, Anna Hartmann and Abby Labonville each had 2 goals. The sisters also had 2 assists each.
Methuen 16, Tewksbury 10
Junior Kiera Fitzpatrick (5 goals) and senior captain Brooke Carter (4 goals) led the offensive attack combining for 9 goals in the non-league victory. Allie Bolduc had two goals, while, Tessa Therrien, Elizabeth Descheneaux, Ava McKenna added single goals, as did Chloe Pickett and Rhyan Pitari, who both scored the first goals of their careers.
Central Catholic 14, North Andover 10
In a big MVC showdown, Central (9-0) came away with the win behind the play of Kerri Finneran, who had 4 goals and 7 draw controls, Nicolette Licare, who had 4 goals and 1 assist, Liv Rondeau, who had 3 goals, Kierstyn Zinter, who finished with 1 goal, 1 assist and 6 draw controls and Abby Yfantopulos added a goal and two draw controls.
Goalie Anne Cashman made 8 saves.
Andover 12, Billerica 7
Andover played strong defense throughout the game, holding down talented Indians’ player Sara MacLeod to just 3 goals to come away with the MVC victory.
Boys Volleyball
Methuen 3, Haverhill 0
The Rangers swept in three sets (25-19, 25-28 and 25-15).
Playing well in the losing effort were Mason Holmes with 8 kills, 8 digs and 3 aces, Blake Garrison with 15 assists and Josh De La Cruz with 2 blocks.
St. John’s Prep 3, Haverhill 0
The Hillies were swept in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-9. Holmes finished with 6 kills and 2 aces, Garrison had 13 assists and Cooper Dellea finished with a pair of blocks and 11 digs.
Lawrence 3, Central Catholic 1
After losing the first set 25-21, the Lancers (2-7) came back to win the next three by scores of 32-30, 25-17 and 25-22. David Castillo had a huge night with 16 kills, 7 blocks, 11 serving points and 7 aces. Nilson Perez had 36 assists and Julian Rivera added 17 digs.
For Central, Deryl Atem had 8 kills with Jaithian Medina adding 7, along with 26 digs. Colin Bowler had 3 blocks, Michael Nguyen had 24 assists and 15 service points.
Londonderry 3, Pinkerton Academy 1
Londonderry came away with the four-set victory with scores of 25-18, 25-17, 18-25 and 25-22. Playing well for the Astros included junior outside hitter Kaden Layne with 12 kills and 6 digs and junior setter Ben Koelb with 14 assists. Trey Baker added 3 blocks and Myles Melim had 3 aces.
Whittier Tech 3, Collegiate Charter 1
The Wildcats improve to 2-3 on the season behind a challenging group effort victory with scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-21 and 25-22. Noah Mercier had 6 aces, 7 kills and 5 blocks, Matt Venturi had 6 digs and 5 assists and Jonah Mercier finished with 11 hits.
