Friday Results SOFTBALL
Oneonta 7, Chenango Valley 4
Jenevie Gallusser doubled, scored twice and got the pitching win as host Oneonta beat Chenango Valley in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference game Friday, April 17.
Gallusser struck out seven in seven innings while giving up seven hits and two walks. Half of the runs she gave up were unearned. She also had an RBI.
Bella Pelligra went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Yellowjackets, which also got RBI from Carley Mistler and Alaina Brown.
Abby Cron went 2-for-3 with three RBI for Chenango Valley.
Natalie Tyler took the loss, striking out six, but giving up five walks, four hits and two earned runs.
Oneonta (5-2, 1-1) plays Norwich in the Sidney Federal Credit Union Tournament at Cooperstown All-Star Village on Saturday, April 18, in West Oneonta.

Cooperstown opened its season with a sweep of visiting Waterville in a Center State Conference Division I doubleheader Friday at The Clark Sports Center.
In the first match, Oscar Yang of Waterville defeated Emmett Ayers at first singles, 8-6. At second singles, Bianca Adam defeated Greg Cannon, 8-0. At third singles, Hayden Spencer defeated Antonio Herrick, 8-0. At first doubles, Micah Raffo and Deanna Wolfe beat Julianna Parmeter and Hailey Keith, 8-0. At second doubles, Yimmy Gyamtso and Rigzin Gazan defeated Logan Martin and Archer Jones.
In the second match, Spencer beat Yang, 8-6. At second singles, Raffo beat Cannon, 8-0. At third singles, Yousef Khedr defeated Antonio Herrick, 8-4. At first doubles, Adam and Ayers beat Juliana Parmeter and Hailey Keith, 8-0. At second doubles, Finn Lukovsky and Dunham Toulson beat Logan Martin and Archer, 8-0.
Cooperstown (2-0, 2-0) plays a division match at Sauquoit Valley on Monday, April 20.

Brady Carr got three RBI and also pitched a three-hit shutout as host Oneonta beat Cobleskill-Richmondville in a non-league game Thursday, April 16, at Joe Hughes Field.
Grayson Brockington had four RBIs and Nolan Stark had a solo homer for the Yellowjackets, which also got three runs from Britten Zeh.
Oneonta (6-3, 2-1) will host Eastport-South Manor for a game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown on Saturday.

Ethan Temming won at second doubles, 6-1, 6-0, as Oneonta won a Southern Tier Athletic Conference match against host Susquehanna Valley on Thursday.
Temming beat Palmer Gendron.
At first singles, SV’s Mitchell Latini beat Derek Fronckowiak, 6-4, 6-4. At third singles, Anthony Iannelli beat Grayden Everson, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-1). At fourth singles, Evie Chen beat Aiden Ruffo, 6-1, 6-0.
At first doubles, Miles Gelbsman and Nico Iannelli beat Angus Milligan and Steven Henry, 6-2, 6-0. At second doubles, Jordan Fronckowiak and Ibraheem Khan beat Sam Burkhardt and Ethan Nagle, 6-1, 6-3. At third doubles, Brighton Logue and Charles Fluck beat Ryan Lewis and Giano Lisi, 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.

At second singles, Matt Coletti bear Raegan Foster, 6-0, 6-1. At third singles, Amadalee Rodriguez beat Brynlee Hunt, 7-6 (12-10), 6-2.
W/D won at first doubles as Harper Kinch and Corbin May beat Jordan Decker and Heather Travis, 6-1, 6-1.

Chelsey Clegg went 2-for-3 with a home run as Edmeston/Morris beat Laurens/Morris in a Tri-Valley League game Thursday in Laurens.
Clegg scored twice and had an RBI.
E/M had a 5-4 lead going after three innings but then scored seven runs in the fourth.
Sophie Robinson went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored for E/M, which also got three RBI from Abby O’Brien.
Edmeston/Morris (2-0, 2-0) hosts Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young for a TVL game Monday.
Deposit/Hancock 8, Harpursville 0
Ivy Tice struck out 17 batters while throwing a one hitter as Deposit/Hancock topped host Harpursville in a Midstate Athletic Conference game Thursday.
Tice also had a two-run double and scored for D/H, which also got two hits and two runs from Olivia Johnson and two RBI from Haley Begeal.
Lainey Steinbrecher had the only hit for Harpursville. Emily Kane took the loss, allowing eight hits and three walks, while striking out two batters in seven innings.
Deposit/Hancock (4-0, 3-0) hosts Afton for a MAC game Tuesday, April 21, in Deposit.

Carlotta Falso had an RBI and struck out four but took the loss in five innings as visiting Morrisville-Eaton beat the Hawkeyes in a Center State Conference Division II game Thursday.
Abby Leamer struck out four batters and allowed three hits to get the win. Allison Heim got three RBI for M-E.
Evelyn Baldo, Allie Butts and Abby Condon had hits for Cooperstown (0-3, 0-3), which hosts Frankfort-Schuyler for a non-division game Saturday, April 18.

Bailey Thayer struck out eight batters, but CV-S/SS lost a non-league game at Northville on Thursday.
Madison Camadine struck out 12 batters in a three hitter for Northville. She also had a home run, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored.
Thayer walked five and allowed five hits with five earned runs.
Thayer, Shyanne William and Hadlei Dresser had hits for CV-S/SS.
