Mike Competiello and Jayden Zimmerman each had goals as the Valor got its first win of the season, topping Laurens/Milford in the second round of the Stamford Mayor’s Cup round robin Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Russ Archibald Field.
CV/S and L/M each have two points in the tournament.
Charlotte Valley/Schenevus (1-1, 0-0) will play South Kortright/Andes in the third round at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 5.
Laurens/Milford (1-1, 0-0) will play South Kortright/Andes in the fourth round at 12:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12.
UV/G-MU 5, Morris 4
Dylan Webb and Julius Smith each scored twice as the Storm beat visiting Morris in a non-league game Wednesday at Unadilla Valley.
Mark Johnson scored three goals for the Mustangs, which also got one goal from Isaiah Jones.
Smith also had two assists.
Reed Osborne also scored for the Storm, which got assists from Declan Potter and Hunter Barnes.
Caleb Dix made 10 saves for Unadilla Valley/Gilbertsville-Mount Upton (1-0, 0-0), which hosts Delaware Academy at UV for a Midstate Athletic Conference game Friday, Sept. 4.

Gabe Cirigliano had three goals and four assists as Sidney got a home non-league win over the Spartans on Wednesday.
Tyler Lyon scored for Sharon on an assist from Elijah Lasky.
Karter Johnson had two goals and an assist for the Sabers, which also had goals from Aldo Garcia and Damien Mathews, and assists from Damien Freudenmann and Evan Kirk.
Sharon Springs (0-1, 0-0) plays a non-league game at Hunter-Tannersville on Thursday, Sept. 3.

Sharon Springs 2, Canajoharie/Fort Plain 1Isabella Cornwell and Zarie Barbic each scored as Sharon Springs opened the season with a non-league win Wednesday at Canajoharie.
Payton Rullman and Maya Korona each had assists for the Spartans, which got 11 saves from Kaitlyn Roosevelt.
Sharon Springs (1-0, 0-0) hosts Hunter-Tannersville for a non-league game Thursday.

Chenango Forks 8, Oneonta 2
The Blue Devils began their defense of the Section IV Class B title with a strong-second half against host Oneonta on Tuesday, Sept. 1, in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference East Division game.
Carly Stamas had a goal and an assist for Oneonta, which also got a goal from Lillie Schmitt.
Forks led at halftime, 3-2.
Oneonta (0-1, 0-1) hosts Waverly for an STAC non-division match at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3.
