GIRLS BASKETBALL
Stamford/Jefferson 49, South Kortright 28
McKenna Hoyt scored a game-high 27 points, including her 2,000th varsity point as host Stamford/Jefferson won an important Delaware League game over visiting South Kortright/Andes on Tuesday, Jan. 13, in Stamford.
Hoyt became the fourth girls basketball player in Delaware League history to score 2,000 points, hitting the milestone on a free throw with less than four minutes left in the third quarter. She also had 16 rebounds and four assists in the game.
S/J led at halftime, 20-14, and after three quarters, 31-24, with both teams having success with zone defenses. However, S/J went on a 12-3 run to begin the fourth quarter and pushed the lead past 20 points to end the game.
Kennedy Quarino scored seven points to lead the Rams, which also got six points and six rebounds from Lexi Hendrickson.
Tierney Turner scored eight points for S/J, which also got six points and seven rebounds from Lillian Eklund.
Stamford/Jefferson (10-1, 5-0) plays a league game Thursday, Jan. 15, against Gilboa-Conesville/Roxbury in Roxbury.
South Kortright/Andes (6-5, 3-2) hosts Hunter-Tannersville for a league game Thursday.
Norwich 55, Oneonta 37
Ella Harper and Kendall LeFever each scored 10 points, but Oneonta lost a Southern Tier Athletic Conference game Tuesday to host Norwich.
Norwich led at halftime, 19-18, then outscored the Yellowjackets in the third quarter, 17-4.
Ella Urgo scored 23 points to lead Norwich, which also got 10 points from Brooklyn Burke.
Oneonta (1-9, 0-3) plays an STAC game Thursday at Binghamton.
Unatego 45, Greene 28
Harly Birdsall scored a game-high 15 points as Unatego won a Midstate Athletic Conference at home Tuesday against Greene.
Raelynn Parks scored 12 points for the Spartans, which led at halftime, 31-17.
Hailey Butler scored 11 points to lead Greene (2-9, 0-4).
Unatego (5-5, 2-2) plays a league game at Afton on Thursday.
Delaware Academy 60, Deposit/Hancock 13
Danielle Ennist and Lexi Davis each scored 13 points as the Bulldogs got a big Midstate Athletic Conference win at home Tuesday against D/H.
Ivy Tice scored nine points to lead D/H.
Tyler Abts scored 12 points for Delaware Academy, which also got six points from Piper Smith.
Delaware Academy (8-1, 3-0) plays a league game at Greene on Thursday.

Paige Rickard scored 11 points to lead Oxford Academy to a Midstate Athletic Conference win at home Tuesday against the Storm.
Myriah Taylor scored eight points to lead UV, which also got six points each from Shyla Roberts and Kora Johnson.
Reese Tefft scored 10 points for the Blackhawks.
Unadilla Valley (2-7, 0-2) plays a league game at Bainbridge-Guilford on Thursday.

Lily Constable scored a team-high 11 points as H-T won a Delaware League game Tuesday in Gilboa.
Jacey O’Donnell scored a game-high 13 points to lead G-C/R, which also got nine points from Calleigh Porter.
Madeline Fromer scored 10 points for H-T, which also got seven points from Jude Sabugueiro.

Kaden Card rolled a 571 series as Cooperstown stayed undefeated with a Center State Conference win Tuesday, Jan. 13, against host Sherburne-Earlville.
Card scored a 193-193-185.
Anthony McCoy had high game at 219 and rolled a 566 series for the Hawkeyes, which also got a 561 series from Ryan Ford.
Leland Smith rolled a 194-198-178 (570) to lead Sherburne-Earlville (5-2, 3-2).
Cooperstown (6-0, 5-0) returns to The Clark Sports Center for a division match Wednesday, Jan. 14, against Waterville.

Boys: Sidney/Unatego 2, Deposit Hancock 2
Stacy Tuttle had high game and series for Sidney/Unatego in a sweep of host Deposit/Hancock in a Midstate Athletic Conference match Tuesday in Hancock.
Tuttle rolled a 167-182-187 (536) series for Sidney/Unatego. Sabrina Dermitt led D/H with a 181-133-138 (452) series.
For the boys, Kai Hallock had high game and series for D/H, rolling a 183-164-225 (572) series. Noah Hutter led Sidney/Unatego with a 175-215-167 (557) series.
WRESTLING
Cooperstown/Milford 54 Dolgeville 21
Max Pelcer, Andrew Spaulding and Thomas Geertgens all got wins as Cooperstown/Milford won a Center State Conference East Division dual meet Tuesday at Dolgeville.
The teams tied in competitive matches, but the Hawkeyes took advantage of forfeits for the margin of victory.
At 132, Pelcer pinned Kayden Doxtader in 43 seconds. At 150 pounds, Spaulding got an injury win over Vincenzo Rubino. At 157 pounds, Geertgens pinned Landon Foster in 3:22.
Cooperstown/Milford (4-8, 1-1) has a non-division meet against host Mount Markham on Wednesday.
Windsor 40, Oneonta 36
Clayton Ritter, Zak Weissman and Lucas Weaver got pinfall wins, but Oneonta lost a Southern Tier Athletic Conference East dual meet Tuesday in Windsor.
At 118 pounds, Ritter pinned Dylan Rogers in 38 seconds. At 138 pounds, Weissman pinned Laurence Salisbury in 1:55. At 175 pounds, Weaver pinned Jonah Chauncey in 2:55.
Amari Champen (144), Isaac Gray and Mason Hannon (215) also got wins for Oneonta (6-6, 1-1), which has a dual meet at Susquehanna Valley on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Walton/Delaware Academy 41, Greene/Oxford 36
Linkin Backus, Hayden Robinson, Justin Somers, Marco Possemato and Jack Macneill all got wins to help the WarDogs to a Midstate Athletic Conference Division II win over visiting Greene/Oxford on Tuesday in Delhi.
At 110 pounds, Backus pinned Jaxson Dicenzo in 34 seconds. At 126 pounds, Robinson pinned Mason Reed in 3:41. At 150 pounds, Somers pinned Evan Johnson in 4:31. At 165 pounds, Possemato pinnsed Zyden Johnson in 1:37. At 190 pounds, Macneill got a technical fall over Tallan Davis, 16-0.
Walton/Delaware Academy (8-4, 1-1) has a non-division dual meet Thursday against Unatego/Franklin/Unadilla Valley in Franklin.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Schenevus 45, Worcester 37
Allen Osborne scored a game-high 26 points to lead Schenevus to a Tri-Valley League win Tuesday at Worcester.
“Schenevus played great,” Worcester Coach Jim Kenyon said. “Alan Osbourne was virtually unstoppable in the first quarter.”
Osborne scored 12 points in the opening quarter, as the Dragons took a 16-8 lead.
Worcester rallied late, Kenyon said.
“We got it to six with 1:40 to go, but through an errant inbound pass which Schenevus converted to a basket.”
Derek Land and Josh Head each scored 10 points to lead the Wolverines, which also got eight points from Spencer Head.
Ethan Reed scored 11 points for Schenevus (7-2, 3-0), which plays a league game at Morris on Thursday.
Worcester (4-3, 2-1) plays a league game at Cherry Valley-Springfield on Thursday.
Sharon Springs 64, Cherry Valley-Springfield 56
Kyran Krebs scored a game-high 27 points as host Sharon Springs won a Tri-Valley League game Tuesday.
Caden Laymon scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds to lead CV-S.
The Patriots led after one quarter, 18-9, but the Spartans tied the game at 40 after three quarters and outscored CV-S, 24-18 in the final quarter.
Michael Cashman scored 25 points for Sharon Springs.
Graham Barown scored 14 points for CV-S, which also got 11 points from Aiden Bosc.
Cherry Valley-Springfield (5-6, 1-2) hosts Worcester for a league game Thursday.

Edmeston led at halftime, 26-19.
Darren Ruiz scored a team-high 10 points to lead G-MU, which also got eight points from Carter Simonds and seven points from Kyle Keuhn.
Hunter Dye scored 12 points for the Panthers, which also got eight points from Braymon Clark.
