MacKenzie McGovern scored a game-high 19 points as the Patriots got another big Tri-Valley League home win in Cherry Valley on Monday, Jan. 12.
CV-S outscored E/M in the second quarter, 17-7 to take a halftime lead, 25-21.
Allie Ackerman scored 15 points for CV-S, which also got nine points from Bailey Thayer.
McGovern and Ackerman each had three three-point baskets.
Brenna Bolton scored 15 points to lead E/M, which also got 14 points from Sophia Robinson.
Cherry Valley-Springfield (8-2, 2-0) hosts Sharon Springs for a TVL game Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Edmeston/Morris (6-3, 1-2) hosts Laurens/Milford for a TVL game in Edmeston on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Harpursville 35, Franklin 23
Adriana Hartman scored a game-high 11 points as visiting Harpursville won a non-league game Monday at Franklin.
Daniella DeSilva scored six points to lead Franklin (4-5, 0-0), which plays a Tri-Valley League game against Laurens/Milford on Wednesday in Laurens.
Lainey Steinbrecher, Gabby Pawela and Iyanna Brown scored six points each for Harpursville (7-4, 2-2), which hosts Walton/Downsville for a Midstate Athletic Conference game Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Clinton 58, Cooperstown 52
Lanie Nelen scored a game-high 24 points, but host Cooperstown lost a Center State Conference non-division game to Clinton on Monday at Red Bursey Gymnasium.
Emma Johnson scored 20 points for the Hawkeyes.
The Comets led at halftime, 29-22.
Alice Gaetano scored 23 points to lead Clinton (6-3, 3-0).
Cooperstown (3-8, 3-1) plays a CSC non-division game at West Canada Valley on Thursday, Jan. 15.

VOLLEYBALL
Cooperstown 3, Little Falls 2
Host Cooperstown completed a season sweep of Little Falls with a five-set comeback, 24-26, 25-19, 18-25, 26-24, 15-10, on Saturday, Jan. 10, in a Center State Conference non-division match at Red Bursey Gymnasium.
Cooperstown trailed in the first set, 24-20, but rallied to a tie on Chloe Jubar’s serves. In the second set, the Hawkeyes built an 11-2 lead and hung on through a rally by the Mounties.
Little Falls looked strong in the third set.
The Mounties took a 20-16 lead in the fourth set before the Hawkeyes rallied to lead 22-21. The teams were tied at 23 and 24 before the Hawkeyes broke through.
In the tie-breaker, Cooperstown (7-1, 2-1) jumped out to the lead and was able to close out Little Falls (7-3, 5-0).
WRESTLING
Dan Wickham Classic
Gavin Nordberg won a title at 132 pounds as the host Spartans finished fourth in Unatego’s Dan Wickham Classic on Saturday in Otego.
Unatego/Franklin/Unadilla Valley placed fourth among 17 teams, 3.5 points behind third-place Hoosick Falls and 3.5 points ahead of fifth-place Southern Hills. Marcellus-Onondaga won the meet with 225 points.
Nordberg went 3-0 with two pins and a technical fall. He pinned Copenhagen’s Zakk LaRue in 3:36 in the championship.
Nolan Boyles (215) and Brogan LeFever (126) placed second for the Spartans, while Sava Gonopolskiy (103) placed third and Bryden Sheldon (118) placed fourth.
Other local teams were: Sidney in ninth with 66 points, Walton/Delaware Academy in 13th with 37.5 points, and Cooperstown/Milford, in 17th with 18 points.
Anthony Botte placed second at 144 pounds for Sidney.
Linkin Backus placed third at 110 pounds for W/DA.
Thomas Geertgens placed third at 157 pounds for C/M.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Cooperstown 92, Hamilton 58
Miles Nelen scored a game-high 31 points as Cooperstown stayed undefeated by winning a Center State Conference Division III game Saturday at Red Bursey Gymnasium.
The Hawkeyes led at halftime, 46-29, then went on a 32-11 third-quarter run.
Christian Lawson scored 21 points for the Hawkeyes, which also got 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks from Jackson Crisman.
Nelen also had seven assists.
Luke Langel scored 21 points, and Levi Neuenschwander scored 15 points to lead Hamilton (6-2, 3-1).
Cooperstown (11-0, 4-0) plays Oneonta for a non-conference game at Hartwick College on Saturday, Jan. 17.
Delaware Academy 62, Camden 48
Teddy Kelsh had a game-high 14 points as Delaware Academy won a non-conference game over Camden on Saturday in the Utica Downtown Classic.
Kelsh also had 11 rebounds and six assists for the Bulldogs, who led at halftime, 30-23.
Lucas Nealis and Ben Schnable each scored 12 points for Delaware Academy, which also got 10 points from Levi Shephard.
Adam Gonzalez led Camden with 13 points while Landon Loomis scored 10 points.
Delaware Academy (5-3, 2-1) hosts Walton/Downsville for a Midstate Athletic Conference game Wednesday.
Charlotte Valley 42, Hunter-Tannersville 32
Simon Cowles scored a game-high 19 points as the Wildcats won a Delaware League game on the road Saturday.
Grady Maul scored nine points and had 12 rebounds for H-T, which also got seven points from Gideon Glennon.
Cole Whitbeck scored 10 points for Charlotte Valley (3-5, 1-2), which plays a Delaware League game at Margaretville on Wednesday.

Susquehanna Valley 54, Oneonta 40
Ella Harpur scored a team-high 12 points, but host Oneonta lost a Southern Tier Athletic Conference game Saturday to Susquehanna Valley.
The Sabres led at halftime, 25-19, after holding Oneonta to just three points in the second quarter.
Jenevie Gallusser scored 11 points for the Yellowjackets, which also got eight points and eight rebounds from Kylie Carr.
Amanat Dhillon scored 12 points to lead SV.
Oneonta (1-8, 0-2) plays an STAC game Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Norwich.
West Canada Valley 51, Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young 29
Gabby Seamon scored a team-high eight points, but the Eagles lost to Class C West Canada Valley on Saturday in the Utica Downtown Class.
Brooke Reddington scored a game-high 24 points for West Canada Valley (9-1).
Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young (5-3, 2-1) plays a non-league game at Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday.

Emma Johnson had a team-high 24 points as Cooperstown got a Center State Conference Division III win over visiting Sauquoit Valley on Friday, Jan. 9, at Red Bursey Gymnasium.
Johnson also had nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Lanie Nelen scored 19 points for the Hawkeyes, which also got 12 points from Sophia Johnson.
Lejla Kendic led all scorers with 26 points for Sauquoit Valley (7-2, 2-2).
