The Fairfield Glade community prides itself on neighbors helping neighbors and contributing back to the community, and Fairfield Glade Police Department has been making significant strides to partner with Cumberland County organizations to better inform our community and provide more services to public safety.
One of those organizations is the Crimestoppers of Crossville-Cumberland County. This organization is making valiant efforts to assist law enforcement agencies to solve crimes and provide justice to victims.
Crimestoppers of Crossville-Cumberland County is a nonprofit program composed of a nine-member volunteer board of directors. The board meets monthly with law enforcement personnel from the Crossville Police Department, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the Fairfield Glade Police Department.
The organization provides citizens a method to anonymously provide law enforcement with information needed to solve crimes and locate wanted criminals. Callers are eligible to receive cash rewards of up to $1,000 for their information leading to an arrest.
Crimestoppers of Crossville-Cumberland County is a member of CrimeStoppers USA and one of more than 1,000 Crime Stopper programs operating worldwide. Since its inception in 2005, the program has paid more than $48,000 in rewards locally, with more than 300 crimes solved.
