It’s time to party like it’s 1984 with the MixTape 80s Tribute Band concert in Fairfield Glade.
The gates open for entry at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at The Grove at 100 Stonehenge Dr., with the hits playing from 5:30-7:30.
This fundraiser for Fairfield Glade Rotary Club will feature unforgettable rock, power ballads and pop produced by some of the best bands of the 1980s. Be sure to bring a chair to this outdoor event.
Relive the biggest hits of ‘80s legends including Journey, Bo Jovi, Toto, Huey Lewis and the News, Van Halen, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, Bryan Adams, Tears for Fears, Dire Straits, Poison, Don Henley Peter Gabriel and Loverboy.
Tickets are $15 at the gate or $10 in advance from The Center at Fairfield Glade, 128 Stonehenge Dr.; Good Times Wine & Spirits at 1369 Interstate Dr., Crossville; or any Fairfield Glade Rotarian.
Those who want to get into the groove can take advantage of The Grove’s dance floor and put their steps to the test in a dance contest.
Still have those leg warmers, Jellies and torn T-shirts? Show them off during the costume contest, which also welcomes those wishing to sport their love beads, bell bottoms, clogs and mini-skirts to show off the fashion trends of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
Other prizes and fun events are also planned.
Food will be available for purchase from food trucks PS Express, The Scoop, Fil-Thai, and The Good Stuff at Sam’s.
The MixTape 80s concert is hosted by Harper Acura. Proceeds will help the Fairfield Glade Rotary Club support Cumberland County organizations, nonprofits, scholarships and other community projects.
The concert is rain or shine.
