The Haverhill High boys’ swim-and-dive team finished ninth as a team during Sunday’s Division 1 state championship meet. The Hillies were led by Brian Story, who finished fourth in both the 200-IM (1:59.52) and 500-free (4:51.72) and Miles Bunyar, who placed sixth in the 200-free (1:49.38) and seventh in the 100-backstroke (55.21).
Both Story and Bunyar joined Samuel Mistretta and John Papageorgiou and competed in the 400-free relay race, finishing in a tie for seventh place with a time of 3:22.81.
Andover finished in 38th place and were led by Ivan Giles, who finished 12th in the 100-backstroke with a time of 56.75, while, William Moulson was 16th in the 200-free with a time of 1:53.31.
Central Catholic’s Joseph Musumarra finished 20th in the 50-free and he touched the wall at 23.47 seconds.
