Cumberland County High School senior Brayson Haney has been named the Fairfield Glade Lions Club December Student of the Month.
Haney was selected by his school counselor, Martha Christopher, to take part in the Fairfield Glade Lions monthly program. Lions Club Co-Chairs Bill and Mary Green named Haney Student of the Month along with his sponsoring partner, in honor of former Fairfield Glade Lions member Roger Quackenbush.
Students are selected to participate in the Lions program because of good grades and involvement in school and other activities during their four years in high school.
Haney is an active participant in the Work-Based Learning program, a strategy that connects classroom learning to real-world experience through collaboration between schools and employers. He enjoys studying culinary arts, health science and playing guitar and piano.
Haney works during the spring, summer and fall doing landscaping work in Fairfield Glade and Crossville.
His hobbies include playing sports and gaming.
Haney plans to finish his education at CCHS and Tennessee College of Applied Technology and pursue a career in landscaping.
He is another fitting example of a student who has an outstanding attitude and being involved in school activities during his four years in high school. The entire membership of the Fairfield Glade Lions Club wishes him success in his future goals.
Haney and his parents will be invited to attend a Fairfield Glade Lions dinner meeting in April 2025 with all Students of the Month. The students will be introduced and receive a special plaque with their name and special month printed on it.
