The Visually Impaired Support Group (VIS) of Cumberland County will meet Thursday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at 69 Neecham St., Crossville, TN.
Speaker Carrie Smith, of Cumberland County Sanitation, will be educating members and guests on why recycling is important and which recyclables can be processed through the Materials Recovery Facility of Cumberland County, followed by a Q&A session.
As “Litter and Prevention Education” lead, with 11 years of experience as employee of Cumberland County Sanitation, Smith trains and educates community, organizations, schools and churches on how we can all make a positive impact on the environment through better recycling endeavors. Within Cumberland County, there are 15 Convenience Centers where residents can drop off their trash and recyclables.
