Essex County Greenbelt Association is launching a limited edition craft beer with True North Ales in Ipswich, with a portion of all the drink’s sales being donated to Greenbelt.
The German style pilsner, brewed with locally harvested wildflower honey, will make its debut at the True North taproom, 116 County Road in Ipswich, on Friday, June 5, in a celebration being held from 5 to 7 p.m.
During the event guests will be able to purchase a collectible Greenbelt pilsner glass while supplies last for $5. Four-packs of the beer with a custom label also will be available for purchase.
The idea initially came from Greenbelt’s NextGen Committee which works to engage the next generation with land stewardship, community building and equitable access to nature.
Following the beer’s launch, it will be available while supplies last and limited amounts will be made available for select events in the future such as Art in the Barn, Tour de Greenbelt and other NextGen gatherings.
