Back in July, Gloucester High School announced its latest athletic Hall of Fame class.
Now, it’s time to recognize those 10 talented individuals and one remarkable team.
First, this Friday night at halftime of the Gloucester vs. Winthrop varsity football game, the 2026 class will be introduced on the turf at Newell Stadium. Then on Saturday, the school will hold a Hall of Fame induction ceremony in the GHS Fieldhouse at 4 p.m.
The ceremonial event is free admission and open to the public.
This year’s Hall of Fame induction class includes Peter Asaro, Sally (Unis) Bertolino, Elizabeth “Beth” (Bertolino) Aylmer, Elizabeth “Betsy” Day, Bianca Giacalone, Geoff Kennedy, coach Lou McGrath, Mark Michalisin, Caulin Rogers, Josh Salah and the Fishermen’s 2000 distance medley relay team of Tristan Colangelo, Shawn Milne, Ngai Otieno and Josh Palazola.
