The Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Georgia Grown Citrus at JoNina Farm on Wednesday, November 9 at 10 a.m.
Georgia Grown Citrus LLC, a commercial citrus nursery located on JoNina Farm, is owned and operated by Perry and Lindy Savelle. They grow over 100 varieties of citrus trees available to homeowners, commercial growers and other nurseries. Georgia Grown Citrus’ USDA-certified greenhouse allows them to ship trees nationwide as well.
Lindy and Perry reside on JoNina Farm, originally named after Perry’s parents, Joe and Nina Savelle. On the farm, they grow citrus fruit and perennial peanut hay. During harvest season Perry and Lindy open the citrus grove to the public for “clip ~ n ~ sip” days where families & friends can enjoy a good dose of outdoor wellness, clip their own fruit, check out Perry’s antique tractor collection, ride a wagon to the grove, shop for their favorite citrus trees, sip juice, eat food and sweet citrus treats and play some outdoor games together. This year JoNina Farm will host 10 “clip ~ n ~ sip” days in conjunction with 10 nonprofit organizations who will receive 10% of the proceeds on their scheduled day. Come “Squeeze the day” at one of JoNina Farm’s “clip ~ n ~ sip” days and support your community nonprofits.
