BAINBRIDGE — The Georgia Christian Generals football team delivered another dominant performance on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, shutting out Grace Academy 42-0 in Bainbridge. The Generals’ defense was once again impenetrable, while the offense took full advantage of key opportunities.
Carson Hanks powered the offense with 98 rushing yards, including a touchdown, setting the tone for the Generals’ ground game. Cason Evans showcased his versatility with two rushes for 17 yards, including a touchdown, and added three catches for 33 yards and another score.
Benji Galindo had a remarkable game, contributing on both sides of the ball. He hauled in a receiving touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown, his second pick-six of the season, further solidifying the Generals’ lead.
The defense was relentless, with James Frazier, Cason Evans, and Rowan Lawson each recording seven tackles. Davey Grizzle added five tackles of his own, as the Generals completely stifled the Grace Academy offense.
This shutout marks the fourth consecutive defensive masterpiece by the Generals, who now have built a reputation for suffocating opposing offenses.
Georgia Christian will look to extend their winning streak when they face Sherwood Christian in Albany on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024.
Sherwood is 4-0 after a 50-6 win over David Emanuel Academy last week.
