OAKLAND — A Garrett County fire that started in a greenhouse and spread to two tow-behind campers was intentionally set, according to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
Firefighters were dispatched to the area of 47 Dobbin Road just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to investigators.
It took seven firefighters approximately five minutes to control the blaze that was discovered by a shared property owner, the fire marshal’s office said in a release.
“This is an open investigation with potential criminal charges,” Deputy State Fire Marshal Jon Dowden said. “A follow-up will be released with the disposition of the case at the completion of the investigation.”
The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
